I think that most people dont realize it but this song was written about the Salvation Army Santa's . (the corner Santa Claus is busy now because) most versions of this song omit those verses

I grew up listening to this music. Bing Crosby"s album was the it. I am 49 and this song along with all the other songs on this album bring back sweet memories of times gone by.
