@Hellstenen Trust me, it was repulsive for me as well, but you get used to it. Then it doesn't sound bad, it's even enjoyable when done well (like in Naglfar). This song wouldn't go well with clean vocals (I've tried singing it, doesn't sound good at all, though I'm a girl). Just imagine it's the natural voice of the singer - spectral, monstrous, and demonic. I'll recommend that you listen to Nocturnal Rites - Cuts Like a Knife - it's a mixed clean and rasp vocal song. You'll like it, trust me.

@Hellstenen I don't think anyone likes it at first. It's an acquired taste, but once one gets used to it one finds that it fits metal songs far better than clean vocals.

Wodensthrone are supposed to be pretty good but I've not managed to hear much by them yet.

Iceni are decent.

Winterfylleth are very good, the first album is very raw (I heard one track from their original EP too, which was amazing, but it got taken off YT)

Burzum is a bit like marmite, you'll either love it or hate it (or rather you'll hate varg vikernes...which isn't that hard)
