Thing about the Terminator series is that even the second movie messed up the storyline from the first one. And the third one continued that. Salvation was just staying the course and keeping with the CONTINUITY!

Let's see, John, Sarah, and the T-800 destroyed the CPU and arm from the first T-800, as well as the T-1000 and the T-800 that were sent back in T2. Thus giving no way for Skynet to rise. They had to come up with the software excuse for the third one. And T2 3D (the Universal Studios 3D show) didn't do anything to help with the destruction of a T-1000000 (T-Meg) and the Skynet system core.

Well, T3 did as well, but T2 causes a paradox that creates a continuity breakdown. The T-800 and T-1000 come from a future where the Terminators were created from the tech that came from the arm and CPU of the first T-800. Not to mention that in the first movie, it's implied (not explicitly said) that the tech developed naturally over time, not that it was created from futuristic tech.

i dont think it cauuses a paradox... i think that if u time travel u live outside of time... i mean, who sent kyle reese back to pregnate sarah conner... terminator is one big paradox... there is no way john conner sent kyle reese back in time if he want born yet because kyle reese was in the future

That isn't a paradox. Kyle was born after John by a number years. John, in the future, sends Kyle back because he HAS to in order to be born. If he doesn't send Kyle back, he doesn't get born, which means he never has the choice.

Let's say John was never born, then Kyle never would have been sent back. Since John was born, Kyle could be sent back. The first movie looked at it logically. Kyle was a guy from the future, he fell in love with Sarah, who gave birth to the leader of the resistance, John. Basically, it's destiny.

It had the trappings of one; it had Terminators, John Connor, the war against the machines, and even a few catchphrases, but it was not a Terminator movie. The Terminator movies weren't about the action or the explosions or the shooting. That stuff was all there because the storyline called for them. They weren't the point of the movie. In Salvation, though, they Were. The so-called morals were just thrown in there.
