The AFFD reviews/considers films from all regions/countries for selection. We had shorts from Indian filmmakers in the festival this year, and a number of feature films with Indian actors, as well. We had our eyes on two bollywood features, but were unable to book them, which happens in the global film market. Did you attend the festival? Excellent trailer, but very disappointed to know that there is not even one single movie from India showing at the film festival. Can you imagine an Asian film festival without a movie from China or Japan? India is a major Asian country and 30 percent of the Asian community in Dallas is made up of Indans. Instead of having no movies from India or having 1 token one at the film festival, hopefully India will have a decent presence at the next festival. Bollywood is a significant movie genre.
