  • omg that was so smooooth landing, beautiful :)

  • Nice vid, but without a sceneries looks poor. And do not to capture loc under 90 degrees - it's unreal.

  • nice but the upper rerric and lower rerric fans dont need to be turned un the whole flight and i think on flights over 6 hours you turn on the aft cargo heat

  • how do you arm the speed brakes?

  • where do you get the ils ?

can you find them in fmc?

  • how do you know about ils/miles

    ils is the frequenti

    LOL and miles?

  • nice approach and a very smooth landing. Great and handy tutorials. I have a pmdg 747, but never used the fmc, because i didn't know how to get it working properly.

  • you came into the localizer at 90 degree angle that very unrealistic

  • and i know it's a short flight you could go a bit higher!

  • you need to go higher! 2300 feet is not enough for a boeing 747!

But a very nice vid! keep on making these :)

  • @Theisilo 2300 feet for the glide slope capture, his crz alt was 34000 ft

  • do you disengage auto throttles when you manually land?

  • nice vidoe but your graphics are awwefull what graphics card do you use?

  • I'm ready to takeoff, but my LNAV doesn't engage. Help!

  • I'm ready to takeoff, but my LNAV doesn't engage. Help!

  • hey i need help my navigation screen dosent alter when i turn i dont know if i havent turned somthing on properly or its human error , alos the auto pilot is really confusing do i need to setup the fmc to use auto pilot ? :D

  • while approaching you dont use the localiser button?

  • @DHMaNiAc770 I'm a pilot. We quickly tap LOC then tapp APP.

  • @usafpilot29 ok thnx but when hitting LOC don't you wait till established? thnx for you interest

  • @DHMaNiAc770 No. :) I fly a 777. We enable localizer and approach hold when we're on the interception heading for the localizer, meaning; we turn it on along with the approach hold when we're perpendicular to the runway's localizer, ready to intercept for the final turn and approach.

  • @usafpilot29 ok thnx for the explanation but i want to ask you if you are using fs2crew

  • @DHMaNiAc770 I bought it. I have the voice commander edition. It's really great.

  • @usafpilot29 hmmm i am thinking of buing it too but i have downloaded(hack) a version that i believe have the voice comander in and FSX start center

  • @DHMaNiAc770 It is natural that the LOC button lights turn off when you enable Approach Hold. However, the Localizer intercept will still work, but will work with the approach hold so you'll be descending and turning correctly with the localizer signal and glide slope.

  • fsx or fs9???

  • hey doesnt this plane has N1 set like original's FSX 737?plzzz tell nc tutorials =D

  • can you help me please my panel shows the gages for 5 secondt the they torn black an i cant torn them back on what i need to do ?

  • @mishakiler i used to have the same exact problems bt i need to knw if the pfd still remains on after the others dissapper

  • Man... Where Did You Get That ILS Frequence Code? Where I Can Find Them?

  • @YouXBE got to the map section on fsx and enable ils feathers. click on them and it should give you the code

  • why did you do a 90 degree intercept of the loc?

  • how do you set the ILS approach? and how do you activate the ILS? thnks

  • I think you sould get FSCrew2 for PMDG 747, it does checklists etc. for you

  • why are you at 2300 feet so far from the airport?

  • No VOR?

  • hi, i already saw your videos but i dont know how to shown the estimated rout on the nav display also i puted the same rout that you puted and nothing please help

  • You won't learn anything from this video... when there is autothrottle engaging? Magic? How is he flying, if just after takeoff FMC tells him that VNAV is out... (f***ed by pilot - to be precise) I bet he don't even know what means half of those switches. Shame on you marko071988!

I was learning from "PMDG 747 Flight Tutorial Part 1" - MUCH MUCH BETTER TUTORIAL MADE BY REAL B747 PILOT (i guess) with great explanation and now I at least understand the airplane.

  • @solemnis2 fuck you prick. marko071988 rocks and has the best tutorials. You shouls learn from his vids like me. I can understand marko071988 cause that sounded like he rehearsed before he did that vid!

  • When you use atc do you use IFR or VFR. Because if you create your flight plan in the main fs directory atc doesn't know the waypoints in your fmc.

  • I use no ATC when I'm flying with the FMC.

  • @marko071988 And if you would've used the ATC in VFR mode, what good would that have done?

I still remember myself at final leg with a Pa-28. Then suddenly I realized that an MD-82 was behind me.

ATC didn't help me much in that situation, neither did AI crew of the MD-82. xP

When I crossed the threshold my speed was about 80-90 kts and with a rather steep pitch attitude. x)

  • @Bart9494 Again, the ATC will direct you. Once the ATC has approved you to maintain own navigation, you can then activate your LNAV to resume your own flight plan.

  • @Bart9494 um if it helps at all, i think when your on approach or about to start your approach to the airport, your atc window will list a bunch of nearby airports, and you can just manually ask for a clearance to land on the runway, if you dont get your FMC specific runway, i believe you can ask the tower to choose another one, in which case you choose from a list of available runways. cheers.

  • have you got Fs ATC clearance to land, so you dont have problems with the ai-traffic?

    btw good video, 5 stars!

  • No, I didn't use ATC, and I think I had no AI traffic for this vid.

  • how do you put the camera in the wing of the plane

  • You need a payware called walkd and follow.

  • @Cantabron112 there are bttons on the keyboard to move the veiws as well

  • Outstanding!!! best PMDG tutorial I seen.

  • Thanks a lot!!!

  • i dont know how to set the trim

  • click on it then use your keyboard up and down arrows keys to adjust it.

  • how come your autopilot works but mine doesnt?

  • Don't know...

  • Great work marko!

    Five stars to you!

  • I got active camera, but i still can't get the wing view. Can you help please!

  • Nope I don't know how it works...

  • is pmdg the one from the website or is it from fsx stock planes

  • Very nicely done, nose of the aircraft crossed the threshold at around 50ft, which is exactly what we would strive for in reality.

  • Thanks! I always try to do so!!

  • The FMC is real easy! In the beggining i was too "scared" of using it cause it seemt really really hard! But for begginers you dont use all the buttons! The rest of the buttons, you will get to know what they are for, when you get more familiar with FMC! People dont get scared! I learnt FMC some months ago and with time we get better and better! BTW in PMDG u should use everything, like trim the plane, flaps and etc!.......!

  • u should use nhancer to get rid of the shimmering of scenery.

  • isnt there a way to program the ils nav radio manually? hate using the fmc as i cant figure out how to get the instruments to show ils approach.

  • No, in th 747 you need to enter the ILS frequency in the NAVRAD page of the FMC and press APP to intercept the localizer and get lined up.

  • ah ok thanks.

  • Yep,I was looking for this answer too ,So the 747-400 IRL is all in the FMC programing Or is the PMDG way?

  • What's IRL?

  • In Real Life.....XD, every ones knows ;-)

  • I guess everyone knows in the States... but in France we don't. Anyways, PMDG is an almost perfect representation of how the things work in real life.

  • I've just bought this plane, but i've got one problem..

Do you know why i can't put my nose down?

When i pull foward on the yoke, my nose only goes down verry verry slightly. I can't even land with it, because the nose will only go down a couple of degrees.

Do you know what i'm doing wrong?

  • Try changing the trim settings.

  • That's what i thought too!

I'll repport back to see what happends ;-)

  • how can i change them my 747 works fine better imposible i just dont know ho to change trim settings

  • Configure a key for it in options.

  • thanks it worked by the way thanks for answering all my questions i just have one more, how fast do you cruise with the pmdg 747???

  • I think it's somewhere around mach0.86

  • thanks

  • how did you get the outside view of the landing after you made that landing? did you use a special program

  • I did the wingview with a program called Walk and Follow.

  • I would say so too.

  • so how do you turn on spoiler and reverse thrust after touchdown???

  • You need to arm the spoilers before TD.

  • Ahhhh VNAV acting weird while i'm descending! I put the correct altitude in the MCP, but when i descend VNAV keeps switching from VNAV PATH to VNAV ALT to VNAV SPD and it keeps switching around! Anything i'm doing wrong?

  • No, it's normal. It's just that it puts itself in a certain configuration when is levels out and when it starts descending again.

  • Does PMDG take up alot of computer resources? As in do the settings have to be lowered a bit to make sure there is no lag? Great video!

  • Yeah it does. But I couldn't tell you the minimum required system to run it.

  • get it for fs2004...my basic comp specs are 2gb ram, 400gb hdd, geforce 8500gt, quad core...and watch my pmdg 747 vids i get no lag at all just get between 20-30 fps which is good

  • i get ur fps on FSX but i need at least 35 so i dont see any "choppiness"

  • cool, but i have recently updated my comp, got a new graphics card (geforce 9600GT HDMI), (was 8500gt)....3GB RAM (was 2GB) now on fs2004 with ultimate terrain and traffic, flight and ground environment at aerosoft heathrow i get 50-60 FPS

  • hey mark, i jsut want to know, is auto pilot still on at touchdown? or do u manually control it ater a certain altitude?

  • No, I turned it off around 1000ft, but you can do it much later, around 200ft normally.

  • je ne ce pas ...

  • 5/5*

  • what button do you press for wing view? is this FS2004?

  • You need a program called Walk And Follow or Active Camera to do wingviews. Yes, it's fs 2004.

  • WOW VRAIMENT JADORE TON ATTÉRISSAGE CETAIS PARFAIS :)

    jai une petite question:

pourrais tu me dire comment avoir cette vue a 7:10

jaimerais moi oussi avoir de différente vue

    en espérant d'avoir 1 réponse :)

    A+

  • when you clicked on the approach button does the Lnav turn off automatically.

  • Yes it should, so should VNAV.

  • ...that was the smoothest landing in YouTube PMDG clips so far...!

  • Thanks, I have several more in Kai Tak and Saint Maarten also.

  • can u pls explain to me how to program the FMC so that it flies the plane by itself to the destinations bcause i need a lot of help on that

    Thanks

  • I saw you favorited an FMC tutorial. Do you still need help about it or did you figure it out?

  • yes i still need help on programming it to fly automatically

  • Yes it did but how do i know if the runway has the CATIII ils?

  • It says so when you open the map and click on the ILS indicator.

  • can you be more specific on the autoland?

  • well first of all you need te be sure the runway you're landing at is equipped with a CATIII ils. Do the normal ils approach. Once you're lined up, you'll see on the PFD display, in the AP section (over the artificial horizon), indications reading land3, roll out and flare. This means the AP will perform an autoland if you keep it connected. You need to control speed and idle the throttles manually. Once you've landed and slowed down, diconnect the AP and taxi manually. Did this help?

  • where can I get the pmdg???

  • What did u do at 0:44? u entered (freq)/(something) what is the something?

  • what did u do at 0:21?

  • At 0:21 I switched TCAS biasing mode to below (probably for below 10 000ft, I guess it activates something special about the TCAS system). At 0:44 I enter the ILS frequecency of the runway we are landing at / the magnetical course. Both are found on the approach chart for that runway. Thanks for the comments and feel free to ask any other question. I'll also be doing the same kind of tutorial for the CLS 747-200 if you're interested in that!

  • thanks for the help man, apreciate it lots

  • how do you do an autoland?

  • well you just continue the ils approach and do nothing: don't turn the AP off until you've slowed down onthe runway, that's all! and thanks for the comment on the other vid too!

  • Yeah it's when the spoilers are deployed automatically.

  • I'm glad you have. Feel free to ask any question!

  • very good but i thought u could have approached the ILS at a less demanding angle than 90 degrees, also you put the gear down too early. hope this helps. 5/5

  • Yeah I know, I messed up on that one lol! I never really get when you are supposed to lower the gear. On some real vids they lower it around 2500 feet. Thanks for the rating and comment!

  • I believe its different due to conditions and stuff.

it believe its when you are about 14nm out. :)
