I am recalling my young days how we used to dance to this song. If you did not know how to dance, you would be requested to leave the floor, so the best dancers with their ladies would continue, there was total compliance to this.
What does this piece mean? Siddikh, please explain!
Mes chers amis, je cherche le livre "L'assassinat de Lumumba" par de Witte. Anyone knows how n where I can get it in Kenya? Either in English or French bt preference 2 th French version coz I read a review tht th English translation was edited n re-edited by Capitalist Anglo-American brains. Anyone?

If we could look through the veil and see on the other side, we'll see a spiritual being called Sese Seko with its tail between its legs, two horns on the head, and Satan laughing at him and saying: "I had you and now the hell will be always yours for eternity together with these other demons who can't stop laughing at you and beating you here!"
Lingala is one the world's most beautiful languages, I don't know what the others are but. but Lingala is very alluring. I speak five different languages so I am right.
This song brings me back "dans mon cartier Rue des Flambloyants," in Kinshasa. My shcool mates "du College Albert" still lives in my heart; I see their glorious smile revealing their white teeth reminding me of the innocence sought by THE MOST HIGH YAH in all of us. Pour mes companions d'enfance Muledi, Nogma Dieudonnee, Kasavubu, et tant d'autres, Be Blessed, Peace and Shalom.
Anybody who listens to lingala the first time would marvel at the sound of the language. it has a natural flow even someone whith a speech defect can pronounce
Qu'on le veuille ou non, ca c'etait la belle epoque. Oui je me souviens. Mobutu malgres ses betises.etait le garant de l'integrite de notre pays. Attention cela ne veux pas dire que je suis fanatique.
Franco's voice is incomparable. It's raw but commanding one of those voices that brings tears the minute he talks to the mike u pay attention. Also Franco talked more than sang. And who else could make a political song sound so beautiful. So as long as Franco is part of it bring it on. Oh thanx man, just made my day.
I have always believed Youlou had the best voice to have graced OK JAZz.Followed closely by Malage Lugendo, Djo Mpoyi, Djosky,Madilu,,,,,,, Whats your take on this Aboubacar and Kindu?
I totally agree, because Franco always chose the best. I am sure that would be the reason I have not heard Sumaro as a soloist although I could still be wrong, by the way I did name the Master himself.
@LusaMonene ...others are Dennis bonyeme, Sam Mangwana, Jolie detta, Malage du lugendo, Carlito, the board commandant (Josky Londa), the poet (Simaro), the footballer of young Africans with his nabali misere hit etc

Very emotional....brings back memories of the good old Zaire (of course ignoring the iron fisted Ngbendu wa Zabanga).

I would start with Sam any day. Then Madilu (before he got a bit heavy as this affected his 'system' voice), Mpoyi, Djosky and the rest...

" Happy are the people who sing and dance".
Mobutu sese seko
Mobutu always used OK JAzz as a state- sponsored band to spread the message of authenticity and political propaganda.
This song was in praise of Mobutu after his" predictable " victory in the 1970 presidential election.

I have always believed Youlou had the best voice to have graced OK JAZz.Followed closely by Malage Lugendo, Djo Mpoyi, Djosky,Madilu,,,,,,, Whats your take on this Aboubacar and Kindu?
KALLEROGERS 3 years ago
I would say Mpoyi, Madilu, Mayi, Youlou, Franco and then the rest.

Don't forget Vicky, Kwamy, Mujos, Boyibanda, Chécain, Sam, Ntesa, there were so many... And what about Franco himself??!?

I totally agree, because Franco always chose the best. I am sure that would be the reason I have not heard Sumaro as a soloist although I could still be wrong, by the way I did name the Master himself.

Its almost impossible to pick one or two, because Lusa is right: all the best sang in OKJ! No one's mentioned Carlito, Kiese Diambu and Ndombe...
