  • lol this comment goes out to mr special... in powerlifting a deadlift is a back exersise however you dont lift with your back. Lifting with your back is dont in strait leg deadlifts which are a completely different exersize this is not that. get your facts right do some research go to the gym maby and until you do so please shut the fuck up.

  • its a deadlift, he was lifting it right. he could have started a little lower but it is mainly a back workout with less stress on the legs than a regular squat. It still works the quads, but the majority of the weight is supposed to be lifted by your back muscles as you straighten up.

    Dead lifting should be done with the legs, not the back.

  • stiff legged deadlifts are for your hamstrings (bicep femoris & semitendinosus) mainly and lower back

    regular deadlifts target the quads (lateralis, rectus femoris, medialis & semimembranous)

    he is performing the regular deadlift, he arched his back a bit and lifted with his back, the form is not too good

    as for holding your breath, do it if you must to keep a strong core and shield your lower back from injury as you go up and exhale as you go down

  • the only reason he passed out is because hes a clown and decided to yell at the end, which obviously depleted what little oxygen he had going to his brain. if he had been breathing while he was lifting or perhaps didnt yell like a fucking retard he probably would have been fine.

  • @specialsmymiddlename Actually, they advice you to do the valvasalva maneuver while doing heavy lifts such as the deadlift. Keeps more pressure to keep your lower back straighter.
