Hi Rohan, you probably are the most blessed child in the whole world.Sitting and playing in front of saraswati devi? And look at MS amma,he is so moved.I cannot thank you enough for this video.I feel the same happiness that he might have gotten while playing the video.Sorry bro,I am a die hard fan of MS amma.
Young Rohan did so well. Thanks again for sharing this video.
Evalo nalla vathrukkai.. " how well you have mastered " romba asirvadam pannirkkay evalo vayassile entha alavukku .. "the guy is blessed to have played mridangam in his early age.."- The above comments are said to a third party standing around
Then turns around to the boy and sayd "romba nalla erukkuppa- means you have played it beautifully and keep practising and be with the instrument ...

OMG, this has to be the worst video I have ever seen. Notice that there is no rhythm, this kid hits his nose (for what reason), and where the hell did that rock come from? Please delete this video and do us all a favor.
I am very sure you have lost your sense of rhythm. Do you know who that old lady is? You don't know anything. Will you miss the rhythm and she walks away.
Hitting the nose is not for fun. Haven't you seen one tuning a drum? The beauty of this instrument is it can be tuned in the middle of a performance without even disturbing the flow. So, you lack worldly knowledge too.
Better go and do something for your losses. Or never comment again.
omg! THANKYOU for posting this video featuring the great MS! Please add her to the tags so that her fans may enjoy this! Thankyou so very much! God Bless!
He was 13 at the time, I believe. I have the full thing on VHS as well since his parents gave me a copy. What's really amazing about this is that you think about how he learned. There was no mridangam vidwan living in the area where he was, so he actually had his lessons with his guru over the phone every week.

Well he learned from Guruvayur Dorai which might explain why he is very good.
