It is amazing the stupidity and irrationality of comments that people make on this video and the facts presented here. We still need to fight for equality, and part of that equality involves the reparations we are due because of the problems caused by slavery, segregation, discrimination, and racism we have endured to this day.

blacks don't complete high school and college at the rates other races do and are way more likely to go to jail. Should we pay blacks in jail to make their per capita income equal with whites? I think a culture change that improves education and removes harmful aspects of hip hop culture is the answer, fixing why the difference exists will fix the problem completely.

yeah and this is why I don't think of Obama as really being a black man, if he was then he would be telling us about this and doing something about it but he's more interested in giving the highest amount of US in history to Israel instead of helping his OWN people!

It's excellent that Mr. Dedrick Muhammad is writing about and discussing issues that should alarm black people into action. A lot of prominent blacks confuse the quality of life with "I got mines, I hope you get yours. I was very fortunate to hear him discuss this topic on The Cliff Kelly radio talk show which airs in Chicago on WVON.
