  • Does this only work with a Nano?

  • @nerfisawesome61009 1. thats not a nano thats a classic

    2. No it'll work with all ipods as far as im aware

  • problem solved. thanks to you. ^_^

  • 0:10 aaaaaaaaaaa!!!!??!

  • 1:16 no shit Sherlock

  • im pretty sure if you are watching this video, you would have everything

  • Why do they make this instruction video on a Crapintosh? Everyone uses windows.

  • @PokePackOpener14 Yeah, why would they use an apple product to make a tutorial on an apple product?

  • Optional:

    A Computer

  • hmm, which would you rather buy?a really expensive iPod or an external HDD which is cheaper but can hold tons more?

  • @MegaMaster456 i would go for an iPod. who would'nt if you already have an iPod, you use that for it. if you don't have an iPod then buy an external HDD

  • If you intend to use an iPod as a backup HDD for your computer,DO NOT BACKUP YOUR WHOLE COMPUTER!The iPod may not hold much files as its capacity is rather small.Backup the most important files to your iPod.If you wish to backup your entire computer, get a high capacity external hard drives.

This is a MUST for desktop users and can be ignored for laptop users.

  • i was thinking about backing up my photos from my computer,

i wonder if i should by a 20 dollar usb port, or..... a 100$ plus iPod.

    tough call

  • good

  • keyword in that guys comment was " already" lol so bad

  • if I had a stuffed up Ipod, i would delete everything off it and it wont do any think because it is stuffed

  • just use a thumb drive

  • a thumb drive might not hold as much. if you had an old ipod, and you got and ipod touch, i would delete all the stuff on the ipod, and use it just for that kind of stuff

  • It is a good idea but if your computer crashes and you get it fix and then sync your iPod all it would do is delete the files you put on you iPod

  • lol why

  • will it delete ally our files on your ipod

  • no it wont

  • aha ... time machine is better

  • i dont think a mac would eat up all ur work

  • It did, for 2 terribul weeks.

    MacBook Pro 2006 2:00GHz 80GB HDD 512MB Ram

  • alot of things can be used as a backup hard drive...my phone and digicam can...practicly everything that holds information and plugs into a USB port can..i would imagine..you could also just put another harddrive in your PC or creat a partition...

  • Now the ipod can be used as an external hard drive. :D

Now I just need to find one the same size as my computer...

  • nah not realy..just use it to back up important files you dont wanna loose

  • Get the 160GB iPod

  • Lol, after thinking for a while I thought that.

  • thnx

  • so if you enable disk use on your ipod can you use it on other computers as a hard drive or do you need that computer to have itunes as well?

  • nope it doesnt have to have itunes.

  • darnit apple!, you couldnt add enable disk use on the iphone, oh ya, have it do everything else except adding disk use!!!! uhhhh trick uhhhh

  • dude i figure this out last year in my school for playing counter strike

  • i used iPod touch is there anyway can make my computer detect it as a drive.?

    thx

  • i just tried it with my ipod touch and i didnt find an "enable disk use" selection.

    i guess it doesnt work..

  • good thing since i just got a iphone and dont need my ipod i had earlier

  • did you know there are about 31 exabytes of information on the internet?

    1 exabyte = 64,000,000,000,000,000,000 1s and 0s

  • can this be done with an ipod nano?

  • Ugh. Not worth the price and hassle of using Apple products.

I'll stick with Microsoft. It's cheaper and has worked for me for years.

  • no its not.

  • Lmao.

    They are rivals. xD

  • Or simply get a flash drive.

  • youd have to be an idiot not to know this by now

  • guess im an idiot then...

  • right on n00b...

  • mine did tht yesterday!

    URGH

    now i just watch this

  • You don't even need to have iTunes to put files on there.

  • i didnt even need a tutorial to do this

  • i was just going to buy a flashdrive

  • Great \o/

  • Cool

  • i thought everyone knew this already......

  • Oh now I see, thank you it works!

  • Good to know!

  • and if u have a pc??

  • why buy an external harddrive when you already have the ipod

  • lol

  • i u dont have a computer u cant earase files

  • lol, i never new this

  • or...you could just buy a USB stick!

  • yeah, usb sticks with 80gb memory are so easy to find

  • actually you can find em easily

  • @DrOMFG Yes they are, you are probly the stupidest person ever

  • @DrOMFG actually it is :P, external harddrive. :)

  • ipod has more capacity

  • if u have a mac.. why the hell would u need to back stuff up?

  • Because you can't un-delete files on Macs...I have a friend who accidentally deleted all of her iTunes with one click.

Also, no matter which OS you use, it's a good idea to back things up in case of hard drive failure.

  • Right.

My Mac's Hard disk drive just gave yesterday while i was surfing youtube.

A 2 year old macbook pro.............

Wish i saw this video earlier..now i have to pay about 1 grand to get all my documents back....

    BEWARE PEOPLE!!!!11

  • ... time machine ...

  • And if you lose your ipod?

    YOUR SCREWED.

  • lol ya

  • yeah but you should encript your data

  • That voice is like... sexy.

  • ????

  • It's not the point that you know it already, it's that people don't. It's a well made video for those who are recently getting into their own iPods or into technology in general.

  • good video

    btw:

    to everybody below me

    YOU ARE NOT FIRST

  • If I have to watch the entire video again, a massive torrent of semi-fluid urine/diarrhea will come pouring out of my anus and encrust my chair, my pants, and my legs in a crusty orange paste. Then I will be fossilized to my chair until someone comes along who is brave enough to endure the reaking odor and to cross the fecal marsh of mush radiating from my stool dares to break his water...bucket over my head and peel away the festering refuse that caked me.

  • 2549th!

  • already knew this (as most people probably did) but adding the quick tip was a good thing... a lot of people would've screwed their iPod over.

  • This almost happened to my IPod... but thank god i fixed the problem even before this video ever came out

  • cool
