Terry must be rolling in his grave seeing how the multi-millions raised in his name have been squandered on junk science that only benefits those with a vested interest. What a tragedy that Terry's courageous accomplishments are being subverted year after year in order to deceive and swindle the public.
R.I.P. Terrence Stanley Fox with the knowledge that all truth is being revealed and in time, the charlatans and evil-doers who have purposely deceived the public will all be held accountable.
i love Terry Fox. watched his movie in hbo a couple of years ago but as I was reading my journal yesterday I was compelled to google about him. I admire this guy. I am so excited to run this year.
You're very welcome. Terry's been my hero since Monday, 29 June 1981, the day after he died. As an American, I am irritated that my country tends to ignore Canada. I am looking forward to the CBC sponsored (and Terry Fox Foundation supported) Marathon of Hope 2009, when twelve runners from each end of the country will trace Terry's run back in 1980. Thanks to the internet, I will be tracking them off my own site.
Just a correction: Terry was 18 when he lost his leg (Wednesday, 9 March 1977). Also, that picture from the foundation is laterally flipped. I guess only I noticed it, for on my site I flipped it back. Terry had a wen right below his left cheek, not the right. Ironically, Shawn Ashmore, who played Terry in the movie of the same name in 2005, has a similar wen right below his right cheek.
Terry Fox é muito phoda. Sempre que vejo o filme me emociono.
