SABOR!!! Oye brothercito, una pregunta: usarias esos mismos mics tocando en vivo? se miran como los D2 de audix. O que me recomendarias? toco cuerdas pero de vez en cuando me muevo a un set sencillo de percusiones para rellenar y estoy un poco dudoso en buscar los microfonos adecuados. Se agradece tu opinion y que buen sonido tienes
@rick2ivan Muchas gracias!!!! De hecho, la serie D de Audix es muy bueno, estos AUDIX los usaba en un programa de television en el que trabajaba aqui en Los Angeles y sonaban muy bien. A mi en lo personal me han funcionado muy bien en todos los aspectos, tanto grabando como en vivo. En el tambor agudo uso un D1, en los tambores medios uso el D2 y en tambores grandes como la supertumba aplico el D4. Suerte!!!!!

GRACIAS!! Los tambores son Palladium. La conga mide 11 3/4" y la supertumba mide 14". El cuero es el que viene en el tambor, viene con la firma de Giovanni Hidalgo. Y por ultimo, las tengo levantadas como 1 1/2" del piso con un invento(conga risers) que hize.
I wish I could play like this. Great stuff Brotha. When I improvise it it such a different style, probably becuase of my drumkit and western jazz,blues,rock background. It seems you and all the pros are playing something that I just dont understand. I cant really count along with it or understand how to play with it. But I can count along and play with any contemporary westernn music. WHat should I do???? Thanks so much. Peace and many blessings.
when you speak of the slap in the center of the drum... would you say you use your entire palm, similiar to the base, and then slap the fingers at the same time. I seem to be getting a good slap that way, it is much different than the one I was doing.

Summer camp, do you play congas or djembe? They are 2 totally different techniques and rhythms.
