of course! freedom is my 1value!Paco & Vicente didn't globalize. They sold vaht they are.But waht i see in the world is people running 5 academys,150 studens, after 3 stages in sevilla! Would you operate a man of prostata without a university deegree??And business is business, so i became a rival! this is sick! This is not properly awarening people!i don't need that!!i love flamenco, i will defend it as i can!if you love too, come to Andalucia and you'll say the same...
Feliz my friend. I understand your frustration.I think it's important to continue educating people in Flamenco at every level. most people hear Gypsy Kings before they hear Diego del Gastor. But if they continue studying they will eventually learn about Torre, Diego, Montoya etc. Most people will never know a real juerga, but if some people experience it in their life - it's better than losing it forever.
@duendesoul te deseo un feliz año igualmente colega!! if you come to Jerez de la Frontera, tell me something, i'll be happy to introduce you to my best friend Juan Parra , the first flamenco dance academy of Jerez.. take care,monstruo....
it's really hard to believe that you learn flamenco to people just to devote time and money..but you know waht i'm speaking about! Anyway.. Waht i want to say is that you cannot have un idea of flamenco if you haven't spent at least 5 years whith your head buried in to the gipsy andalucian culture! otherwise ,i don't really know waht are you teaching! i don't know if it is your case, but if is,you should do it: Thank you.
i think that i'have been abroad and i asked to teach flamenco in scoohls. I've been answered for i title. I said i learned with the gipsys and people of Andalucia. They said me,no!!So i think that everybody wants to make a business with flamenco should pass an exam of Andalucian, and Spanish.Flamenco is the soul of the gypsis and people of Andalucia! That,s why is still alive! So fuck of the globalizacion!! Sorry an goodluck my friend..
flamenco was globalized by Paco de Lucia, Vicente Amigo, Tomatito, Sabicas and Gerardo Nunez, Miguel Poveda etc...NOT ME! People like me who devote time and money to learning Flamenco help raise awareness to this wonderful art for people who might never hear or see real Flamenco in their life. You should continue focusing on presenting real flamenco in Spain and not worry about cursing the rest of us!
this is a good discussion. my guitar teacher showed me Farrucas and Solea when I was 9 years old (1977). can you imagine if he said "go learn Andalucian Spanish before I show you Solea?". Nobody wakes up one morning and says "I want to be in the flamenco business". I will always be a student of flamenco and maybe I will spend 5 years in Spain to learn Spanish and cante, but right now I can still perform flamenco music to the best of my understanding and ability.
Me gusto. Tal vez te falto un poco de energia en algunas partes, tu toque es agradable pero podrias darle mas potencia, no se...solo es mi opinion. Saludos!
I think the compas is right, unless the intention is good, but the performance is not clean and looks unsure. I mean, you understand how the compas is and you have good intentions but need to practice technic to get a more safe play. Congratulations
thank one can always improve their technique, also take into account that I'm playing this to a pre-recorded track playing thru a stereo while the filming was taking place. maybe that's part of what you are feeling.
muy bonito!
