Guys, I think I have a problem...

When I play stainless steel, for some goddamn reason, there are no banners.

So I usually have to flash my forces to see what is what, any solutions for that?

P.S : I also have that Third Age mod, which is from the same creators but its the Lord of the rings themed one, can it be related to that? I think not, because they work seperately and not connected in any files... Well, what do I know, you are the ones who should know and help, soooo.. HElp?

I am the HRE (Very Hard) and Venice (my ally) betrayed me and took 3 of my settlements. But then I was in a very very bitter war with France. Denmark (my most reliable ally) is under attack from Norway and Scotland?!?. So right now I've removed Venice (and the 5 northern italic cities) from the equation and Poland just launched a very large Blitzkrieg (ironic.). I am losing these wars. And France will only seems to be ready for peace if I offer my italic expo. What do u guys think i should do?

One of the things so unique to Medieval 2 was the sheer lack of honour and huge wars fought between factions, especially in V Hard, which I always found fun ^^

Anyway, I recommend to fight the battles you can win, and retreat the men where you can't win. You may need to lose a few settlements, but reinforce and recruit more men and then head your own counter attack later. Generally though we can't really help you without being you, so good luck anyway! :p

@TheAussie00 Well I just got a few more turns in. The Pope excommunicated France and I just called a Crusade of Toulouse. Thank you your Holiness. And though I did lose Metz, France cannot push further in and I bet hes starting to feel the effects of the Crusade. Bad news however Denmark was wiped out by Norway. So I believe retribution is in order after I finish Poland. However I do wish they had an ability to reinstate factions. R.I.P Denmark.

@TeKnO2BaEr Ya you should try Stainless Steel 6.3 lol just came out a bit ago. Right now I am France (I took normandy but allied england after) and I am trying to take the Mediterranean Isles and Northern Italy. Only could grab Genoa, Pisa(no more Florence:(..) and the Isle of Corsica before Sicily stopped me from taking Genoan Sardinia (Last Genoan Castle). And he has only 2 members left, The Doge and his son and trying to assassinate them before the next generation comes of age >:).

@TeKnO2BaEr In Stainless Steel 6.3 you can turn in on or off. Its the BYG mode. I currently have n off because I am still unsure how it works TBH.

@CavalryMillitia If your playing stainless steel 6.1-6.2 you should try just to defend (do not venture outside your settlement) most attacks will fail unless they are 3-1 when under siege (shield units own defending the entrance). If your playing 6.3 my advice would be to follow my previous advice but you cannot keep building units as fast. So you should try to divert the invasion. Send a full stack of your best to Marrakesh and just defend that after you take it. This will buy you valuable time

@CavalryMillitia Lol My new game for 6.3 is Byzantine Empire Vh//Vh, I sortof Blitzkrieged those lands for free territory, I intended to leave the crusader states be but they wouldn't peace so they died >:D. Im past the Bulg Rebellion and at war with Hungary, Venice (both a HUGE supprise lol), the HRE, Fatimids and the Seljuqs. Whats more I have a Jihad on Constantinople. Im going to die lmao. I think Byzantine shoulda got a few trigger armies to balance this out....

@CavalryMillitia The bug fixes are on TW center just google 6.3 and look for one of the main modders, near their name they have a link to fix the problem.

Thanks but over on TW center there are many Lithuanian AARs. The only ones that havent been done much (or that good) are Novgorod, Denmark, Cuman Khanate, Hungary and Poland. But I might not be able to I can't get my bug fixes to work and I don't like playing only 50 turn campaigns......

My favourite part about Stainless Steel is the Templar faction, that alone made me download it. I also really, really like the option for Dismounted Hospitallers and Templars, it was something that was so badly needed, yet never given.

If you are playing the game through Steam then I would just leave it as modding any game through Steam is a ball ache at best.

i have a problem.

when playing in campaign mode and i want to recruit armoured sergeants or armoured swordsmen (heavy infantery) and tell me i have to wait 5 turns till those units will be available. ok with that..... but that number 5 doesn't change when i am in a new turn...

i have this mod i have installed part1 then part 2 in the same folder then patch 6.1 i enter in the game i play on the campaign map but when i wanna fight i mean when the game changes into the battle mod the game takes me out it crashes how can i solve this?

it will crash if u go into custom battle after going on campaign menu and it will also crash if u click too many factions when tryin to decide who to play as. don't know how to stop this tho just have to live with it i suppose

thanks, yes for SS versions 5&6 you need kingdoms. The other one I played, version 4, you don't need it, only patch 1.2 for Medieval II
