Ive seen most of these commerials. Taken seperately I noticed and frowned about them at the time. However your video brings their agenda into crystal clear focus. Depicting men (esp. white) as bumbling idiots is proof of their belief in pulling themselves up by dragging someone else down. The last clip showing the female hippy to success to retiree cannot be anything but a huge FUCK YOU from the advertisement division and management of Fidelity to all men who dont subscribe to feminism.

These adverts get on my nerves to be honest.

I've got nothing against men being involved in a "comical" advert, but what really gets me is the whole effort to make out that all men are complete cretins when compared to their partners.

It's always the criminally stupid dad/husband/boyfriend doing something dumb/horrendously painful/arrogant, and then the wife/girlfriend/daughter rolling their eyes smugly.

Not always too bad, but some ads take it really over the top.

The only "laws" that favor the female gender have to do with children and the dissolution of the marriage. That is in place due to the old roles of women, in which they were the ones left predominantly disadvantaged. A LOT of women still abide by those old gender roles. Weren't all those shows made before the feminism movement in the 1970s. BTW All in the Family usually portrayed the male at fault. The reason why the only "moron" female in that show was shown as a "moron" was because she was not smart from not learning and not because of her gender. She unfortunately grew up in a time and place that did not value women learning. I Love Lucy was made way back in the 50s.
