some remedies or advice to try and help the algae bud,, try a foxface and a few more snails, rodi water only but im sure you know this, also judging by the incredible health of your clam you are running lights long and hard,,maybe try and cut back some just long enough to cure your algae problem,,,again just advice not meant to sound like a weenie
Things got worse with the algae after a bit, but they're getting better, I did a 30gal water change, added clearmax to my tank, added a foxface and two sea hares! So slowly but surely they're eating the hell outta the algae so hopefully sometime soon I'll actually be able to see all the rocks in my tank haha
btw, sorry about the crazy "Extreme Close-up!" I was trying to find the jellyfish I was gonna record and didn't think to zoom out again to find it... lol
is it possible to create a balanced self maintaining eco system with this variety in a tank or is that an impossibility water wise ?

@beingatliberty like how self-maintaining are you talking? You'll still always need to make water changes..

I'm not sure if you have a protein skimmer or not, but that and frequent watercahnges will help w/ the algae. otherwise it looks good.

Wow! That looks so cool. It takes a lot of discipline to keep up any fish tank, let alone something like that. Awesome job.
