Ballsocket constraints such as this have the major downfall of firstly not being dupable unless set at the same angle they were constrained at. I'm not entirely sure that the differential previewed above is dupable, mostly because the plates had to be rotated after the ballsockets were placed. Another major problem with relying on ballsockets is that the weights have to be massive to get a secure lock, but that was covered in the tutorial. I'm not too sure this is an improvement over the BRD.

Even so, is the ratio of power transfer capability to weight better than a standard BRD mechanism? I know for a fact that several people I've talked to agree that the BRD is stronger at lower weights that ballsockets.

@mwhite112393 I'd say you need a little more weight than the normal BRD, but I got almost no slippage when I tried this on my red failed truck carrying 2 jeeps, with each part of the diff weighing 300.
