  • makes me wanna get a rolled up newspaper and smack them like flies

  • @porkgrindx Enjoy your mosquitoes, then. Because dragonflies hunt them with pleasure, but when they're gone...

  • Dragonflies are nature's helicopters. They look strikingly similar to them.

  • that would make an awesome screen saver

  • It's percussion sticks with wings..

  • They look like those prehistoric ones at that speed. cool stuff. Megauera is it?. Anyway cool.

  • The way they move their wings is so cool

  • It looks so epic! you should have used apocalypse now soudtrack lol.

  • enjoyed this so much ty

  • Some very clever stuff there.

  • DRAGONFLIES RULE!!

  • Very nice video. Dragonflies look so graceful during their flights!

  • this is the one i want...

  • Love it!

  • Thanks for the Dragonfly Video!! Nice Work!!

They look quick even in slow-mo.. They have some tricky moves. "Dance of the Dragonflys"

    You Rock..5 stars

  • Very nice and i like the bacground music go well with the movie, 5 stars from me.

  • We must admire the creator of all living things....simply amazing

  • Real cool. I took a closeup once of a wasp that looked like Tinkerbell in my garden.

  • Wicked! Caught the rod at 1:56! not everyday you get that!

  • Didn't look like a rod to me. Maybe. Or just a dragonfly farther away

  • Do you use Music Magix Maker for your digital music productions?

  • Nature is so soothing

  • GOD IS AWESOME =D

  • The slow motiona dn the music makes it.

  • Wow... it's really fast whatever is it lol @ 1:56

  • DAN you caught a very fast ROD in 1:56 min.

  • I saw something too. If Dan is using HD slow motion and something blurred past, it must've been really moving.

  • Oh, that was just Oprah in her spaceship

  • Not that fast, as you can see only 2/3 times the speed of the dragonfly.. It was probably a hummingbird, a bee, or some other animal/insect that flies really fast.

  • Once again you AMAZE!

Of all the bugs, in the universe, Dragonflys are my fav.

  • beautiful! I was amazed when i found out the butterfly don't fly like birds...they actually create a vortex with their wings that generates the lift...AMAZING!

  • BEAUTIFUL/I luv dragonflys/music perfect for this/I agree/u shud be a nature photographer/nice steady hand/I too luv to photo nature w/ animals

  • I gotta say, I kinda enjoy these little clips, even though I normally wouldn't, just cause I know who's behind the camera.

  • :-) Thank You. I was planning on using all this footage for a wind turbine video concept (still on the way) This is fun too. So I am mixing one in every four or five alternative energy videos.

  • flying sperms!

  • I would love to be a bat in this scene!

  • where did you get the music from? did you compose it yourself?

  • Music2hues Production purchase for documentary work (about $10 a track). I try to time everything with video editing and cutting the tracks up without being too noticeable, it usually is close. I have composed some digital stuff but not good for nature videos:-)

  • According to my Snapple bottle cap, "Dragon Flies have 6 legs, but cannot walk" ;-)

  • landing gear ofc!

  • Your good at capturing nature. You should be a wildlife photographer.

  • dragonflies are the coolest...

  • I always think dragonflies look like tiny helicopters.

  • almost makes you want to play one of them in a video game

  • They look so massive against the sky as a backdrop. Neato!

  • If you would play that video backwards, it would look like X-Wings from Star Wars. ;-)

  • :-) GOOD POINT.

  • Still, wouldn't it be even more awesome if you could focus one of your fresnels on one of those babys in mid-flight and catch them bursting into flames in slow motion? Your own little version of star wars? haha...Someday you'll surprise me with such a video I hope....:)

  • Well, I missed a bird taking a dive at one while shooting this. Last summer a few mosquitos were in the wrong place at the right time. They did not burn but stopped flying, just knocked them silly. Not sure what came if them. I usually keep the lenses in the off position for safety and lizards which do not know any better.

  • second, low the heck do you shoot 300 FPS as evening time. Well, I never know their wings did all that. Dragonfly wing wind turbine model?

  • "HOW THE HECK"
