the problem with mine is i used this technique like 30 times, and now when i overheat my xbox, Remove all the chords, turn my xbox on, ect...ect.. i still get one flashing light and E73, then i block one fan and still get E73. any idea's? im not about to send it off thats a rip off. message me back, Please ;)

I'm not sure if anyone knows, but I found a forum site about e73. they said its because of the dust that gets stuck inside the system, and all they did was blow on the fans to get the dust out to fix the problem. I tried it and quite a mess of dust flew through the front of the xbox. i turned on the xbox, and it worked. I least expected it would be dust, I've done the overheating too. But blowing out the dust worked just fine for me. i still cant believe its dust -_- like, wow. wth??

I've had like 3 errors on my 1st (current soon to be replaced by the stupid fuckin E73 error) The 1st one I just turned my xbox off n on and it was fine for about 5 months. My suggestion is to just send it in. Don't do anything stupid that will prevent microsoft from repairing it. I also got this e73 error and i know how you feel but if you pay the 100 bucks fro microsoft to repair it, you get a full new one year warranty if you do.

Well i fixed my e73 by doing an x clamp fix, Which after that its been going strong for a week and bit so i dont know if its permanent, and if anyone wants to know E73 is caused by a faulty Ethernet port
