for everyone who said this was illegal your so dumb! if a news reporter was standing on the uss trayer it was because the navy allowed them to do it. plus if the video was on the news (whitch obviously it was) why wouldnt it end up on you tube. it doesnt make a difference if you saw it here or on the news it is not illegal and those of you who say it is are full of it. jeez! my brother is in the navy and he is going to tell us everything he can without the danger of putting his career at risk.
All I will say about battlestations is that you will be absolutely exhausted after you're done. I was almost falling asleep while standing during the capping ceremony. It's fun though. You'll enjoy it.
We had to work our tails off to get to that point, and I know for sure, when my RDC's gave me my NAVY cover I cried like a baby. I hate that they show just this, instead of the whole tale of boot camp. Then America would have an understanding for what we had to go through just to get there, and why America's NAVY stands the strongest in the world. Our NAVY is founded and based on pride for our country, and serving her with no questions asked, because we chose that life, and earned it.
You do realize that ONLY THE RECRUITS sign the article 13 document, CNN got permission from the navy directly to film this! Stop complaining and enjoy the video! GEEZ!!
The piece was done by CNN with the permission of the Navy. CNN did the piece close to 3 years ago. We had nothing to do with it, it was between the Navy and CNN directly. We are very proud of the work we did for BattleStations 21 which is why we have it on our Channel.
Guys it's not like they're going through every scenario in detail that happens and when, or what exactly they have to do in every scenario. Besides, I'm sure we all remember what they told us when we got our navy ballcaps, when someone asks, you tell them you'll talk about it when they get their navy ballcap. Talking about it in detail, which this video doesn't do as much as you all think it does, is reserved for people who earned the ballcap.
When I go through this, I will tell my closest friends the experience. Fuck Article 13, Im serving my country So I should be able to tell my experiences to whom I want, So fuck the UCMJ in this case.
we as sailors are not suppose to share this information .. im disappointed that u even let them cover this story.. ... p.s. this is not even the real battle station .. i went thought the real battle stations .. take a knee

Thumbs up if you went through the REAL battlestations back in the day. Running around base dragging mannequins through gravel in a plywood maze.
And booters, stop complaining about having to sign a Non Disclosure. Get used to it. That is between you and Navy, not the Navy and the world. If CNN was able to film a 4 minute spot, you can rest assured that the Navy knew about and agreed to it. The Pg13 is more to keep you from running your mouths to recruits so that they can know whats coming.
This is crazy!!! How can they just put this out here like that. It isn't fair that we can't speak on it, and then they put us on blast like that. 2nd Class PO USNAVY
I think it's funny y'all signed something saying it's confidential...but everyone knows about it. I actually know exactly what you do in detail. lol. And I'm Army. I will admit...it sounds badass.
I went through battlestations back in January of '04. I had strep throat so bad that I couldn't swallow my own spit, and had icicles hanging from my chin. I passed and was so pissed off at the battlestations breakfast because the only thing I was able to eat was frickin ice cream. I cried like a baby during the video/song at the hat ceremony.
TO ALL FUTURE SAILORS! 2 years ago I went through boot camp, Ship 10, Enterprise. Battlestations is a cake walk. Its more fun than anything else. the petty officers are bored to tears reading texts from the other petty officers on the ship on their PDA's and slacking. TO PREPARE FOR BATTLESTATIONS: Just stay awake. Honestly. You do get fatigued, and worn out, but its fun. Don't stress it! You really do get a sense of relief when you hear that cheesy song come on and you switch your cap. Hooyah!
@Powerdouble119 Were all on the same team guy, You can't be a super power without a strong Navy, I salute all brave Marines Semper Fidelis Always Faithful
I just ran this from november 30th to dec 1st. All i can legally say is the day you finish this you WILL fall asleep alot throughout the day, or at least i did/
@tietie1424 Im an HM and plus its not a 2nd class that runs the facility jackass it would be an LCPO maybe your 2nd class rdc was the LPO but they dont run it.
@Sweded1991 yes he RUNS battlestations. He coordinates the technical aspect of it and makes sure everything is working correctly, and he organizes any changes made to it, how the other petty officers are supposed to train us, and make any improvements or adjustments to the building. the LCPO is probably in charge of the LPO who RUNS it.

@rocker619316 - i dont doubt you cried. I cry just watching motivational videos about my enlisting (Feb16, 2k11 ship date). I cant wait to experience this.
AND im sure this is only a hair bit of the stuff they run you through. Am i right?
@NayveeMan You will do firefighting drills and a gas chamber drill, among other drill before going into Battlestations which is a 12 hour simulation overnight so no sleep the day before or the day after
@Simstein77 yeah i know. ive read many books regarding bootcamp. cant wait. im referring to battlestations itself. the stuff they do show you is only a tip of the iceberg while in for the 12 hours. there is no 3 minute video thats going to explain the 12 hour process.
@NayveeMan And by law nobodies allowed to explain it to you in detail besides what you see here, we have to sign page 13's saying we can be legally punished for disclosing info about battlestations. you'll just have to wait and find out, its better not knowing whats around the corner in boot anyways, less anxiety build up.
@jhnsn1 Lots of people tear up as a feeling of accomplishment after completing Battle Stations, Im a Guy, and I completed it back when I was 19 and had a few tears of success.
@rocker619316 There is no other feeling in the world like getting that Navy ball cap; just found my recruit hat when I went back to my parents house last summer.

I'm a US sailor right now and I went through that about four weeks ago. It was a fun but scary experience. The hardest part was trying to stay awake through the next day! :D
@malib0osted Easy Marine. VERY little of what they go through is on there. That was less then 10% of the training. I went through the Cruciable. It wasn't all that you make it. Each service has their own specific missions, and training. In the end, they all bleed the same when wounded. As someone who got his CAR on multiple OIF tours since 2003 while patching up my Marines, I can tell you we all bleed red. (Con't)
@malib0osted Funny, I never had a Marine talk about the Cruciable versus Battlestations while I was busy keeping him, or for that matter, another Corpsman alive. The only thing I look at is that I gotta do my job and get that person home alive. And if that involves losing my life doing it, well, so be it. I never signed on for this to do anything else.
LMAO Battle Stations is NOT that fucking serious... The Twister ride in orlando was scarier than that...since you guys are the ones that created this...can you PLEASE make the floors shake rather than vibrate it totally took me out of the game.

@ideasorlando thank you for posting. plus the taxpayers are allowed to know what they are paying for. and parents love watching this video i know that much. keep up the nice work.
I would not mind going through this Disneyland of battle stations. I went through the old school battlestions where you had to run everywhere in boots all night. Now called Batlestations Legacy. Still seems like fun. Ohh and yea I can say that sitting on your knees sucks....
I know, right? It was crazy though because this one guy fell asleep, so the facilitator started picking people at random and making them stand up. he randomly called on another guy and made him answer a question or we would all be sent back. I was so glad he got it right. Because that petty officer hated us, our division got a low score and cost us that gold trim CNO flag. We still CNO'd so it was cool.
We had 2 people fail for core value violations, one raised another guys hand as a joke and another failed for "fraternization" for asking a female a question, and then one whole team failed, I'm still not even sure why, but our instructor was pretty cool
kiss my ass shipmates this was a joke just messed up my sleep XD and why the fuck when i did it did they make us sign a paper stateting we cant tell anyone about battlestations when they exposed it all...stupid navy hypocrits
This was the culmination of it all. I became a sailor after I did this, after WE did this. My shipmates helped me through, and I helped them. Keep your faith in your training, and each other, and any perspective sailor will have an easy time.
My son is doing this today!

We signed an article 13 and yet they throw it up on the news? I agree, what the hell?

This was the culmination of it all. I became a sailor after I did this, after WE did this. My shipmates helped me through, and I helped them. Keep your faith in your training, and each other, and any perspective sailor will have an easy time.
