@SigmaSigmaSputnik Its actually quite pathetic over here in Australia when it comes to Bowie. I walked into about 5 different music stores to buy the album Hours and NONE of them had it! The only had albums of his old material (which is no bad thing) but only about 2 of the stores had ANY material the other 3 had nothing! and the ones that did have his older material only had 1 of his albums :( Looks like i need to either have it specially ordered in or order it online.

I'm pretty sure he didn't fully quit until 6 months before he had his heart attack in 2004. At least that's what I read in an interview...

That's what he said. 6months before the heart attack. He STARTED around the time his daughter was born but didn't fully quit until then.

He quit because he would not smoke in the house after Lexi was born and it was becoming a hastle to go outside to smoke. So he laid them down 6 months later he had his heart attack.

I read when he heard that George Harrisson died from throat cancer due to life long smoking - it was then he was determined to guit.

@CitySlickerShaun  You're right about the smoking, he was completely smoke free by 2002, I saw it on the faq's on Bowiewonderworld, and I saw it in one of his interviews too. Wish he would have given it up sooner, maybe he wouldn't have had the heart attack, but better late than never. : ) I love this song too, it's so beautiful, I think hours was a great album.
