OMG! I really haven't got words for this video. Kostina was an ellegant gymnastic. I think Bessonova is the best right now, but Kostina was my favourite one. I am sooo sad for her.. I loved her, her ellegance, her movements... I will remember her forever (L):(

This was back when RG was good. When movements were fluid and graceful, but there was still technique and artistry. Kostina and Vitrichenko are perfect examples of this. Or else, RG was still cute and the routines sparky and full of fun, like Kabaeva's but there's still technical ability in what she's doing. RG just isn't the same anymore. Kabaeva's routines are sloppy, and Bessonova is graceful, but although there's ability, it's still not quite as beautiful as a routine like this. xx

Yeah, i know this. rg in 1990 'till 2000 was so graceful. there are many rg gymnasts from 1990 who are retired like vitrichenko, skaldina, serebrianskaya, petrova, lukyaneko, timochenko, and zaripova.

That's so horrible!! I really wish that rhythmics was still like that. I think that rhythmics in the 1980's and 1990's were much more graceful than today's rhythmics. Thanks for making the montage. RIP, Oksana!

Well she was actually going to get married, and she died when her fiance was driving I believe. She was only 21 I THINK...And she was 5 Time World Champion according to Kaja (And Kaja is always right!!!) She did rhythmics, and rhythmics was alot different back in the 80's and 90's. That's all I really know about her.

Oksana is russian. At the time the Ukrainian federation were the most influential in the Soviet RG team (talk about cards switching!) and all though many believe Kostina deserved a spot at the 1992 Olympics (having won most competitions that year, and if I remember correctly even the one that was supposed to be the official soviet qualification competition) the Soviet union sent their two stars from the last 3 years instead - Timoshenko and Skaldina.

Wow. Watching her, I am just floored...she was so beautiful and she is so much better than the gymnasts today...the dancing and the way she moved with her apparatus, its amazing. Its terrible that the RG world lost her!

She did RG of course. She's 5 time world champion. But RG in the 80s and early 90s is quite different (and a lot more beautiful) than today's RG.
