This is nearly the best of the set, altho' they are all so beautifully interpreted by this sublime artist. Adore it! Many thanks for making it available on here. She takes the text for what it's worth, not singing it because she should (a la Anne Sophie von Otter) but because she can relate to all that Schumann expresses here. I'm as modern as anyone, but i don't find these feelings outdated, nor does, it appears, Miss della Casa. Check out my page on her the lisadellacasafanclub on fb.

J'adore Lisa della Casa. Elle était très simple en tant qu'artiste: sans allures, toute naturelle, modeste. Mais elle chantait avec beaucoup de coeur - sans exagérer.
