so what is the name of the last device that u use for swinging ur body from side 2 side? and on which website can i purchase on? cause i live in Europe. thank u
This is a great well thought out routine. Although i'd stay away from the two ball push up and maybe just use two hands on one ball. Nice work chris i really like your videos.
@AmusingYeti I totally agree. I broke my leg back in April and haven't been able to go to the gym. So since then, I've bought a pull up bar and resistance bands to get back in the swing of things which is working out great. Now, I just need to crank out push ups. I don't know if it's because I haven't trained for so long, but I actually think this is much harder than weight training.
@kaziizak well it depends on what you're talking about. In athletics it has absolutely no place. If training for a bench contest then yes. I'm just lookin at it from a functional aspect is all.
im a bodybuilder.. naturally not those weird monsters, anyway, these workouts are very intense, i use them in my off-season, who ever says these workouts are easy, def didint try them. Hardest one i found difficult was the incline push up on the swiss ball with one foot at a time.. great job chris!
Hmm..I`m impressed normally u see a guy explaining on this with have had way too must protein shakes and do the exercises way too fast but this Cris guy seem too be more about the preform ens then the looks great job keep up your videos love the abs routine do same my self.
@fordmodels How would I work my upper/inner chest more efficiently? I've done all your pushups for a while but I can't get my inner chest to get bigger :[
@chikenfriedricey you can do a triangle push up, basically position your hands together to form a triangle (have your two index fingers touching and your two thumbs touching). Have your legs positioned like a normal push up. Go down slowly and pop back up. This will really work your triceps and inner chest.
i say everyday personally make a habit of it lol i used to do my sets in between video game round so even when im sitting on my ass wasting time im getting something done
bars have different positions put the perfect pushups can build those muscles that are hard to get other wise and help maintain the accual pushup that is needed
mostly just the muscles that you make during a normal pushup and some others just around there if you listen to this guy he will name the muscles.. also it depends on your consistancy say you do 20 pushups 4 times a day then you do 25 pushups 4 times a day etc but keep under 30 if you manage to get there.. and do all these different types of pushups witch help balance and other needed things.. if you do a easy amount and not over work yourself and have good foods you should notice muscle...
ok thanks again. i dont have any weight equipment so i just use the old total gym we have and i have a pull up bar which i do 3 sets of 10 each day. and for the perfect push ups, i do 3 sets of 20 a day. is that good?
Man what the f@#k is your problem? Im just being pardantic, i even admitted it! I think it is important to maintain form during any excercise and if you can't then maybe its better to try something easier. Is there a problem with that?
For all of you who don't like this workout-don't do it. It is dangerous if you can't do a pushup in the first place. Like he said, they are advanced. Our kids climbing team does crazier stuff than this and they get really strong with the right technique and guidance. I like this workout, Chris.
ive been doing 20-30 sets of perfect pushups and chin ups til failure alternating between both exercises with 30 sec of rest inbetween 3-4 x a week....is this enough?...appreciate your feedback
put your hands on something higher, like a bench or something, becouse the angle of your pushup is now different, your target area has changed. for the higher part of your chest you'll have to put ur feet higher. same goes for side of middle of your chest. that is changed by changing the space between your hands.
Getting rid of fat means anaerobic and aerobic workouts like skipping and jogging, sprinting and so forth to the standard stuff. You dont get rid of fat in one part of the body. You burn the overall amount as a whole every time you work out. Got to make your heart beat quick. That being said, if you want to develop your chest, add a weighted vest or good quality resistance bands to what warpduck said.
hi im 14 yrs old and i love to get my body in shape, i do many sit ups and push ups and i curl. if i do the push ups in ur previous vid, how many do u suggest i do? i can do about 25 in a row per set but idk if thats too much or what. i just need to know what a good work out would be for me. if anybody knows plz respond. thanks
Everyone has a different body, but attempting for the "as many in a row" is an admirable martial arts technique.
I can suggest that the next time you "give up" truthfully ask yourself whether you will die from one more push up...don't fight the pain FEEL the pain. Pain is like happiness or sadness, it is another experience that being 'alive' gives us the opportunity to endure.
Do that until your muscle gives out and not your mind.
like i said, put your hands on something higher then your legs, like a bench.
but dont forget that this kind of trainging does not reduce fat (at least not as fast as cardio training) the only thing effective to reduce fat is just to get on the road and start running till you cant tell whether its day or night...
I suggest using a variety of different, challenging workouts every time out. Dont put all your eggs in one basket, cause your body will adapt over time and you wont get any more benefit out of just a few exercises used over and over again. Push hard till your body says 'enough for now', then maintain that for a few wks with hard, short workouts (20-45 mins max, intense). Then push a little more after that. You stair-step the intensity.
Thanks Chris, I am 55 years old, and have been going to a gym for 3.5 years. My body has gotten into shape, but I am ready for more advanced exercises. these are great. thanks again.
christ no wonder why this guy is apeshit ripped, he dedicates his life to it. This guy probably works out 3-4 times a day 5 days a week.
everyone would be fucking fit like this if we all dedicated our lives to it, but unfortunately we're stuck working our asses off at shitty jobs with lame pay!
cry me a river ,The difference between guys that are ripped and not, is not their occupation and pay, it's their dedication to training.you want something bad enough you'll find a way to get it.Get it?
yes i agree, but if you really want it, you can do it. There is nothing impossible, really! I am stuggling with a full time outside job (In South Florida of all places) and 15 credit semesters and this doesn't stop me. You only need one excuse to not do something even though you have a million why you should.
It is hard, but all you need is some inspiration. Good Luck!
@spacemonkey1233 yup your right. But with the inspiration you need some will to , the will to do it. Dont say ohh i cant do it , try it first and youl see for sure. :)
nice video(s) i think you should comment more on feet position too, (spread out or close together), because i do those tricep pushups, incline, and regular pushups often and i notice one feet position seems to be more difficult then the other, if you could reply to this post and explain some feet positions it'd be awesome
Hello Chris a question for you. I have just starting following your tips. I am wondering should I start from video 1 or video 2. The second thing is Chris that are these push ups enough, like I need do any other exercises. Also, like I am bit underweight,so Guess will have to increase my diet.Anyways, Thanks looking for your answers
Hey force221984. These videos are not necessarily meant to be performed as a complete workout, although they could be. One option is to pick just 2 or 3 of these exercises and repeat each for 2-3 sets of 10-15. Mix and match.
Although push ups are a great exercise, they don't work all muscle groups and should be integrated into a well rounded program that includes pulling movements, leg and abs work. Search my name, Chris Comfort, to see some other exercise option. The first of my abs videos should be out any day now.
I guess that depends what you're trying to accomplish. Like I saidin the video, the last one was for showing off, but the rest most definitely have their place depending on the goal.
Very nice to watch. This guy is very hot. And the informatoin is cool. I will try to make the ladies in my Saturday morning class do some of theese pushups!!!
I have done that exercise with 3 medicin balls. With one ball in the middle going from left to right when changing. So u push up with ball 1 and 2, then u give ball 2 a push so it goes to the left and u push up on 2 and 3 and switch back. rly nice exercise!
i was surprised to see the "ab dolly" being used in a real gym. i thought it was one of those thigh-master-type-gimmicks that didnt really work. although you are not using it the way it was advertised....do you think it actually works?
The "ab dolly" is actually a very effective piece of equipment. I'll try to incorporate it in part 2 of my abs video (part 1 is already done) I was also leery of the "Perfect Pushup" handles until I tried them. Also very good.
i think i would rather doing those pushups in the first video, because i dun hv swiss balls. Ur push ups r really unique. cant wait for ur next video!
Those are some good ideas for pushup routines. I like to do alot of medicine ball work as it involves alot more natural movement. Such as throw and catch situps on an inclined layback.
Hmm ... looks like you re-uploaded the video. My previous question was if you can buy those push-up handles at a local sports shop or if you have to special order them from a website or other store?
wow that is hard workout, i have the same workout ball, it make look easy on the video but try doing it yourself and it will really work your muscles out cause you also have to balance yoursel. This is a good video, thanks for suggesting new ways on how i can have a variety of workouts.
you torture yourself with those routines.

lol 2 ball push ups!! "i have one hand on each ball"
otsegobitch3003 4 years ago
Yeah right? I didn't realize until right after I shot that one. "One hand on each Swiss Ball". Oh well.
chriscomfortfitness 4 years ago
At least the exercise doesn't require a friend to hold the balls.
fordmodels 4 years ago
now that sounds like more fun to me!
otsegobitch3003 4 years ago
I have done that exercise with 3 medicin balls. With one ball in the middle going from left to right when changing. So u push up with ball 1 and 2, then u give ball 2 a push so it goes to the left and u push up on 2 and 3 and switch back. rly nice exercise!

i was surprised to see the "ab dolly" being used in a real gym. i thought it was one of those thigh-master-type-gimmicks that didnt really work. although you are not using it the way it was advertised....do you think it actually works?
michaelfreudiger 4 years ago
The "ab dolly" is actually a very effective piece of equipment. I'll try to incorporate it in part 2 of my abs video (part 1 is already done) I was also leery of the "Perfect Pushup" handles until I tried them. Also very good.

This is great thanks :) I kinda feel like this isn't meant for me though, seeing a man, arms of pure muscle

i think i would rather doing those pushups in the first video, because i dun hv swiss balls. Ur push ups r really unique. cant wait for ur next video!

again, why are all male models personal trainers? I though modeling made you rich. Maybe just for the girls.

Those are some good ideas for pushup routines. I like to do alot of medicine ball work as it involves alot more natural movement. Such as throw and catch situps on an inclined layback.

that pushup/row workout looks like it could get pretty intense. i'm gonna try that

Hmm ... looks like you re-uploaded the video. My previous question was if you can buy those push-up handles at a local sports shop or if you have to special order them from a website or other store?
Kosh800 4 years ago
Yup we did and our previous answer was no you have to buy them online at perfect pushup.
fordmodels 4 years ago
Great, thanks! Typing all day gives my wrist an aweful clicking sound and discomfort some times so they should help out a lot.

wow that is hard workout, i have the same workout ball, it make look easy on the video but try doing it yourself and it will really work your muscles out cause you also have to balance yoursel. This is a good video, thanks for suggesting new ways on how i can have a variety of workouts.

bummeg :( dont have those handles .... not even one of them !! I cant even find them in any of my local sport stores tsss grrrr

For those who do not have a medicine ball you can also use two bricks .... i've seen those and still do those :))
Thanks for posting this great video tutorials.
