i looooove how accessible this makes building a home for the average person--BRAVO!! for me personally, i'm considering an 'earthship', or at least incorporating some of those ideas in the house i build.
@shoobedoorocketship but boxy is best bang for buck. Resale may stink but if the purchase price is low then the selling price is low. I personally like boxy, I dont like to attract attention to my home.

GOOD questn The steel is recycled cars, junk that people get paid to pick up(jobs) Steel is remelted in a U.S.A arc furnace that uses nighttime electricity that would otherwise be lost. The insulating foam is 100% renewable on the 'b' side (grown yearly)
Our suppliers are within 45 miles of the factory(fuel), we then ship complete panels directly to end user with standard pickup truck(huge fuel savings) Most lumber in the US is now imported, trees take 40-50 years to grow
look closely at 44- 48 seconds. The wire chase holes are in the entire structure, place electric boxes anywhere you wish and rest assured that it is insulated behind outlet. Code in many states dictates plumbing not be in outside walls. If you must, just knock the unsulation flater with
knock insulation flat with hammer and hang sheetrock as normal. The wall is insulated better with high R value foam 3/4 full ,than with fiberglass filled full.
add 4 panels of 8 ft each and it becomes 1440sq ft. DIY -no crane needed, for under $19,600 dry-in. Use 1/2 energy to live comfortable..WELCOME TO 2009 !!!
Awsome video i appreciate your time and the panels were a breeze to put up nothing to it first time ever building anything like this and am very satisfied
Are these considered "modular or prefab" homes for tax assessing purposes?

These kit homes are appraised as standard construction. Think of it as trusses for walls, No crane is needed to assemble a basic house.
