some people just don't get that with enough power and good gear ratio setup you can make even a stang fast as supercar on top speed. There's a saying. To get to 200mph isn't that hard, but to reach 210, you gotta do one hell of a job. A 600hp Vette/Stang with good gear ratio setup is gonna get 200mph, Vette cause of aerodyn. is gonna brake that barrier.

Ok guys & girls. 200 MPH on a dyno isn't hard. There's no wind resistance to overcome, there are no aerodynamics that come into play that your horsepower has to overcome. 200 mph on a dyno is just the fact that your tires can spin at that speed. Getting to 200 mph in real life on the street will take a nice chunk of power. It's not impossible, but you're going to be throwing a nice chunk of change at the vehicle to attain that speed.

And no, your V6 CAN NOT do 190 mph on the street.

Well, did you ever consider they did all those things and kept the body/chassis of a Mustang? Look at the SHelby GT500KR, its a Mustang frame and body with Shelby's engine in it. Or the Saleen S281, a Stang with a Saleen engine. It's not really a WHOLE new car, more like a WHOLE new engine. It's definately possible, but you probably need alot of money and time to do it. I believe it was 200 mph. I've seen a handful of Mustangs go that fast.

i know for a fact tht the gearing for MY 2000 v6 can hit 190 at 5000 rpm so im sure gearin is not an issue. top gear is called overdrive....its geared for fuel economy so its a higher gear much higher the only gear work tht might need to be done is to change the rearend gears bout 210 for tht....and more power thts all and it doesnt take tht much work to gt more power out of tht engine....a simple tune will get u more.
