i use a macbook pro 13", i have alot of problem with sound not only lighting. but can you make a video on good mini microphones that you can use with macs? i find that the built in mic on macs are disgusting. is there a mini microphone i can plug into a macbook pro?
What is the best way to get a good ambient light feel, so it seems like you are simply in a brightly lit room to the viewer? Do you have any tips or tricks for that? For example, the lighting you use in the majority of this video when you are speaking.
@zetidoburrito I typically have the room light with a softbox or a diffusion material in front of the light. This helps to soften the light and not make it look as harsh. This will give you more even lighting and a light that look more natural.
@zetidoburrito Use a 3 point lighting technique, but be crafty about it. Have a main light (halogen, gives a warm glow) and then for the fill light use a gold reflector. This creates a warm feel and then for the rim light you could either use a blue or yellow light. It really depends on what you think looks best. Make sure you use a diffuser and color filter on the on the key light. You can place a limp on a table behind you to make it seem like the rim light is coming from that. :D
@myARTjournal I would say yes. I use all tungsten lighting in my stuff. The main thing is to make sure everything is the same color temperature. When you start mixing florescent and tungsten without any gels you get different color temperatures.
I'm trying to setup my video vlog,, i want to know what programs i should use, what filters are good? im using a rca small wonder hand held as my video record it has hd out put its really nice quality. just for starting and its really cheap so just let me know =)
@darkside3704 I really don't use any filters for my videos. Unless I'm trying to set a certain mood. As far as a program goes I use a Mac so I have Final Cut Pro. But really any program will work as long as you know how to use it and it accepts the format your camera produces. Good luck and I hope that helps.
