  • what nascar also needs to do is use "the boot" at Watkins Glen and get rid of the chute at Infineon

  • man this is classic battles between fellows and said

  • Watkins Glen would be ideal for a Truck race, they've done it before and it would make a good companion event to the Indy car race up here. Also, what about Heartland Park Topeka? That was a good challenging track.

  • I was at this race. They used to be at the Portland Speedway across I-5 before. We took my best friend's 4 year old nephew with us. Was so much fun! I wish we here in PDX hadn't lost the truck races. And we lost our Indy car race too. Portland is not too friendly to auto racing. They burn fossil fuels.

  • I bet the trucks would do good running at Sonoma like they used to. Plus they could go anywhere in the

states with the IndyCars. Somewhere like Barber or St. Petersburg where they already have a good market in Alabama and Florida. Canada would cost way too much for the truck teams, hell its too much for Nationwide.

  • I just woke up from a coma I've been in since late 1999. How is Nascar doing now?

  • Jeremy Dale is the cohost's name. he did sports car racing in imsa in the 80s and early 90s. and hey this will never happen but why don't they create like a nascar road course series. let the cup guys have the two horible tracks (okay only the one in northern california is bad) but start a new series that's all road course. 36 races at 36 different tracks. all 500 miles. oooooo that's my kind of racing. and just think of all the great road course tallent it would atract!

  • Man, the old ESPN broadcasters were better than todays. Marty Reid sucks now but he was great back then, but I forget the other guys name. All I remember is he's a former Indy car driver.

  • Watkins Glen again!

  • Was that Marty Reid doing the call? Dang!

  • Great road courses for the truck series: Montreal, Mosport, Watkins Glen, Daytona RC, and even... EVEN New Jersey. Road America? Hell no

  • I dunno about Mid-Ohio. tight track with little passing. maybe let them run Road Atlanta or road America w/ Nwide or even better Lime Rock with the East series

  • there are only 2 places to pass at Road Atlanta lol Lime Rock Park only has one left turn with minimal braking zones - of course, where could you pass here? just 2 places :-/

  • @wickedj3

Beleve it or not they acctualy ran some Nationwide Races at Road Atlanta. Today the nationwide series runs at . Road America.

  • MAN... this is when racing was great. Bring back the road courses for the trucks!

  • The Camping World West race at Portland sold 40,000 tickets. Portland definitely deserves a Truck race.

  • I would gladly trade some of the truck races on 1.5 and 2 mile tracks on today's schedule for more road courses.

  • Same here. Road-courses measure the true talent and driving skill of the drivers, so I'd even like to see more in the Cup Series. At least four or five.

  • @NAVGFan I personally would like to see the cup guys go to Road America, but no more. Give the Trucks their old road races plus one outside the country if possible. And the Nationwide tour should have 5 - 7 road races a year.

  • Heaven forbid they put any fun back into NASCAR

the Trucks would make a great show in Montreal, so lets put em somewhere they've never been before, like in Canada or Mid Ohio or something

  • yeh bloody oth they should, they should take the cup series to montreal also or race at mid ohio or at sebring that would make for fantastic racing i reckon

  • It's been 10 years since the Truck series ran on a road course.

  • Man I wish NASCAR could put the trucks back on a road course, it will make for great tv.
