@anja1204 Coldplay is an alternative band, so I guess you could call this alternative as well. If you want to hear more music like this, listen to the album "A Rush of Blood to the Head" by Coldplay or maybe even "Parachutes" by them as well. Another good alternative band to listen to is the Flaming Lips.

@doppleganggirl I love that you said that, because I heard "If I Should Fall From Grace With God" for the first time this morning and my first thought was that this song sounds exactly like it--well, like a slowed-down piano version of the Pogues' song. The choruses are especially similar, with the "Let me go, boys" line. But maybe it's a tribute, more than plagiarism? Coldplay has covered the Pogues before and expressed their admiration for them. Either way, I love both songs.
