  • hey thanks a lot. your videos are great.

  • @dany2179 thanks for saying that!

  • I would recommend you check out the Envirocycle Compost tumbler, tumbler's are much more effective than worn bins!

  • @FanaGamingTical geez i hope so...thanks!

  • "hey thanks! i was kinda thirsty!"

    They talk so...

  • Pot Head!

  • @Z71Ranger Takes one to know one! Just kidding...but wishful thinking my friend!

  • Well, we can compromise and call it compost pee in order to please Scopeout2--it does the same thing and "real compost tea"!

    Simple and great idea guys!

  • @ShotgunAndAShovel Thanks! The stuff works really well! Thanks for the comment.

  • hmmm intersting

  • Hey thank's, I was kinda thirsty ! :D

    E p i c !

  • This is not compost tea. It's just liquid worm castings, that's all.

Compost tea uses compost, an aerator, water and sometimes other ingredients like root stimulant. The tea is brewed by pumping air into the mixture using the aerator for up to 24 hours before its ready for use.

  • @ScopedOUT2 Well......almost compost tea !! ahaha....

  • all my worms are in that box? how did they get way over there from my yard???

    i miss my worms...

  • what your draining from your bin is called lecheate..

it has absolutely nothing to do with compost tea...! not even close

that said.. it is still beneficial

  • ok this is awesome...newer to me than red wiggles worm bins..so basically its pretty advanced stuff + duuh why didnt i think of that... now,...is kombucha tea/essiac te..is that like worm tea for humans??? what can we drink that would boostus from the energy of micro organisms??

  • No..No...bad,...don't drink...only for plants.

  • Yeah, This project has been out of commision for ever now.....but my hair looks awesome in this video....LOL hahahha

  • Not to rain on the parade, and i bet this stuff does work well, but......

With a true compost tea, you take your best compost, throw it in a bucket with blackstrap molasses and bubble it with an air pump for 12-24 hours.

What you are trying to do is to knock the microorganisms that are on your compost with air, and then multiply them by providing the molasses as an energy source.

The final product is not full of nutrients, but microorganisms. And they are what rule the garden.

    Peace

  • dancidelics, there are TWO varieties of compost tea. Brewed (what you describe) and Steeped, which requires no addition of molasses, bubblers etc. Brewed tea was produced in the early 1970's. Steeped tea predates brewed tea by over 1,500 years. Both are true teas and are fantastic for organic gardens. :)

  • Dude you are totally toked. Rock on and thanks for the vid.

  • All righty then! Hey now..I am not really following your hip talk.. please explain...Thanks

  • we use that stuff at the pot farm!

    works wonders.

  • I guess pot means marajana?

  • Aztecs used compost tea in their hydroponic or "Chinampas" gardens. Compost tea goes a long way in history with great results!

  • Sorry, No microscopes in the garden.

  • I agree technically it's leachate or extract but alot of people call it tea ...I call it Good for the Garden !

probably don't need the microscope...unless your selling the stuff by the tanker truckload...lol

  • I agree, But it still works. I have 2 grape plants and only watered 1 with the leachate and the other with plain water and it made a huge difference..Thanks for the comment!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cutie.

  • Wow, good idea! I'm just about to build a worm box too, so I am gonna set it up just like this! How often do you apply the tea to a plant?

  • Well just rotate on each plant. As much as possible... plants cannot be hurt by this ...they love it .

  • LOL @ "I was kind of thirsty" lol

  • Don't drink my tea it's like Jim jones cool aid.

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome demo...too easy! Thanks!

  • Thanks you are too nice!

I try to do most things that way. Thanks for the comment ...Rick.
