C9A2 and M249 are one in the same, only dif. is current C9's don't have hydraulic buffers like the 249. Both are basically the same gun, the FN Minimi.

First off, Samuel, I am a Marine, and the killin' business isn't that lucrative. Fun, but not lucrative. There is a huge difference in our economies, so comparing income is a waste of time anyway. @Darklightvision You're not even American, how do you know what's actualy going on in this country? Being from Netherlands, all you get is what our media dishes out. Most of it is crap. My cousin is a marine, my brother-in-law is in the national guard, and I have several friends in the U.S military. Don't believe everything you hear about our military. I rest a whole lot easier knowing that they are out there protecting the world. They're the finest in the world.

If you're in spec ops, you can have almost literally you want, as long as YOU buy it and YOU bring it.

If you're an officer, you get a little more lineage on what you're issued (as you control what you're issued a lil more directly)

If you're in infantry, then you can only bring attachments, sidearms, and knives from home. And only use either a C7 or C8 or C9 dependant on your squad position.

@elemein Only side arm you may get from home is one that is shipped by the Forces over and you're issued ie) Browning Hi Power. C8 is normally for vehicle crews tankers etc (smaller to deploy from a vehicle). Infantry will use C7's.

@ThatKidFromVancouver The C9a2 has a collapsible stock and is painted mainly dark green. It is actually being shot in these videos. It has been around for quite a few years.

@MATTHEW4819 Depends on your role, you may be a gunner and be issued a c9 or c6 or an M230 if your a grenadier or a C7. You use what your chain of command issues you.

Why would you think you pick and choose? Comes down to what you are qualified to do and what your orders are.
