per cortesia! vorrei sapere se il mackie frs 2800 è uscito fuori produzione!

é ancora in poroduzione o non piu?

Quale modello di qsc plx è nel video?

    grazie mille!

    Attendo

  • ay Guyz i have a ''?'' , is the FRS1300 rated at RMS ? so its 1300wRms@4ohms?

  • Sorry, just got back from some time away! Your comment is fair and I have approved it.

  • I use a QSC MX1500a for more than 12 years in the worst conditions:

    - stored in very low temperatures in winter and putted in function in an acclimatized room immediately

    - transported without any protection, kept for a while in rain. Now it has lot of scratches - overloaded and shortcuted accidentally

BUT: the amplifier is still working with one of the best sound. The fan is running quietly, even we didn't open the chassis until now.

I'm a big fan of Mackie, but I disappointed about this video.

  • I LOVE MY Mackie gear !!!!

    they are THE best :)

  • The PLX Series you mention is obsolete. The amp we used in the test is a current model from our competitor, with rated performance comparable to that of the FRS-2800. 1250W/ch at 2 ohms is the manufacturer's published spec for this model. Speaking of big differences, the price of that model recently topped a grand, so the FRS-2800 will now save you over 400 bucks.

  • Check your specs fools! This is obviously a QSC amp you are attempting to break, a plx to be exact. This amp is not rated at 1250 a side at 2ohms. It is rated at 1250 per side at 4ohms. Big difference. I think you should get your ducks in a row before you attempt these tests again.

  • True about the limiter. But all settings were the same on both amps. Limiters were off, but as you can see, the FRS-2800 protected itself much more effectively.

  • what crap. common guys, not everyone is that stupid. the QSC has a clip limiter switch on the back. i dont think you will find an amp nowadays which doesnt have overload and overheat protection, do you think people will beleive the legendary top of the range qsc amps wont have it? please.
