  • Doesn't look fast at all, but damn that's one beautiful car. I'm surprised i've never seen one.

  • @ApexIXMR - Not fast by todays standards. Clutch slip don't help - specially going up hill. Less than 5000 built I think and few in RHD and nonturbo. Thanks for looking

  • Yes, never a supercar but nice GT.

Motor never Maserati to my knowledge - PRV (Peugeot Renault Volvo) development.

If yours was silver, I know the car and it spontaneously combusted sadly. Now owned by a collector of Alpine GTAs in Auckland.

  • @5scooters That's a shame...I collaborated with the top brains in the industry to develop the engine, which was completely rebuilt using high performance parts, to many to list here...I left the new owner with explicit instructions not to remove the fuel rails when checking spark plugs, as they were tricky to line up with the injectors, unless you know what you're doing...So I suspect he didn't listen and failed to check for fuel leaks...He was an armature mechanic, which is why I cautioned him

  • @5scooters By the way, in the late 70's when Renault, Peugeot and Volvo were all in bed together, approached Maserati, who had developed a supper light weight ohc alloy V8... That engine never went into production because of the oil crisis at the time...However the Renault, Peugeot, Volvo consortium, contracted Maserati to produced a V6 version of their highly advanced ohc V8...Which they did by chopping two cylinders off the original design..I have seen these engines develop incredible HP

  • They tried so hard to be a super-car, but failed... They were just a 160 HP WEAKLING.

I brought one cheap in Auckland, Dealers couldn't give them away.... But I saw the potential in the Super-lightweight body, the lightweight Maserati built V6, and strong bottom end... So I set about modifying it to FLY with the following:

    1 7.5 to 1 JE Racing pistons.

2 Custom fuel injection & management system

    3 Venturer Racing clutch

    4. Supercharger (Screw type) 18psi

RESULTS: 435 HP at the wheels

  • @phoenix11994466 you do not know anything about the Renault Alpine

they are very successful good Cars

  • @Chechenius1 You're not very bright, because you're replying to my comment, where I explained in detail, how I modified a Renault Alpine GTA to produce 435 RWHP from it's 2.8L engine...Also, for you information, Renault stop making them around 1990 because of manufacturing costs, falling sales and bad press surrounding several fatal accidents..The GTA was tail heavy with a tendency to spin out...I solved that with wider tiers, longer d/shafts, thereby increasing rear track by a massive 15 inches

  • @phoenix11994466 I know all about the pin, from delaline until 1990, their delalis 1984-1991

  • @Chechenius1 You Know Nothing Fool...Go back to your Play-Station

  • @phoenix11994466 dibil you listen to me, I'll kill you if I catch you asshole, renault Alpine madein France, in France I live, so shut up and all

VIVE LA FRANCE et Renault alpine )

  • @Chechenius1 You're an idiot... Threatening to KILL someone on YouTube's website, will get your account banned for life... Did you actually read the terms and conditions when you signed up with YouTube???

  • @Chechenius1 Threatening to KILL someone is an offense, and you can be arrested for such a threat .... It will definitely get you banned for life from YouTube....Do you have a brain?

  • @phoenix11994466 not to say that the French car bad, anyone who says bad for France is my enemy
