erm, don't really have an answer for that but it has happened to me. It happened to me when i downloaded and incomplete or corrupt scenery pack thats the only light i can shed on that one friend other than that i can only recommend you google it
just to add make sure you have a single focal point, for example, the base piece you put down make sure your cursor is over the same place where your cursor was when you put the base piece down, that did the trick for me :D good luck
