  • Great old song

  • I am off to Tokyo on a business trip, I have fed my yellow fever in years past with various Asian whores but I am looking forward to this

  • I would have had a seizure during the drum solo.

  • The colour white is considered to be unlucky by superstitious Japanese

  • this would be awesome outdoor with a life size scale of godzilla firing his atomic breath

  • nice glasses

  • THIS IS THE GREATEST FUCKING THING I'VE EVER SEEN.

  • ah merde... ça c'est du rock n' roll

  • One more bowl brought me to this song...LONG LIVE BOC \m/

  • why a bieber joke is a top comment instead a blue oyster cult comment?

  • @puercopigsk8 because they secretly love him. If people hated him so much they wouldn't talk about him ever.

  • I remember seeing this on BlueJean network when i was 9 in 81. I was already indoctrinated by kiss but this was awesome ! Love rock and metal ! BOC was dark in a trippy way too. Godzilla , Burning for you, Dont fear the reaper ...

  • I was there at this show, yes tripping on acid. I still hate that drummer for becoming that monster. I thought it was real.

  • @alcoholfueledrage

Yep... I remember hearing the stomping on the celing. Freaked me out!

  • I saw The Cult do this song (complete with laser beam eyed Godzilla) at the Madison Square Garden (Fog Hat opened for them) blowing joints and doing lines right there in our seats. It was a much cooler world.

  • @JohnnyStar25 Man Lonesome Dave opening up for BOC..................what a show!

  • OMG. I saw this concert in Germany in the late 70's. Thanks for the memories! 'Bunch of stoned, wasted GIs just hanging out together. :)

  • I like rock music as much as the next decent person, but it seems to be people who like this music, are always the ones bring up Justin Beiber all the time, shut the fuck up about him, clearly you like him

  • fuck jeah 666

  • seen them on the Black & blue tour !!!!

  • i didnt know seth rogen could sing....

  • I wonder if the giant godzilla breathing smoke was the inspiration for all the larger-than-life monstrous Eddie avatars later in the 80's... This was 1980, Maiden were just starting out, they only had just a head on the wall during this time...Or maybe if bands were using giant props before I might be wrong...

  • These guys are some of the most talented, but people, you gotta admit....the paper mache Godzilla blowing smoke was kinda GAAAAAAAAY.

  • @TheMileaway I kinda agree.. There was Agents of Fortune... they seemed cool...then this stuff ? can you say

Gay ? isn't that illegal ? like retard...There was a click in my High school in the early 80's that worshiped and followed these guy's all over...I kinda went in the direction of Dio / Sabbath,Schenker,Montrose /Gamma,Priest.

  • @TheMileaway lol but back then it was cool! hahaha

  • This perfomance brings a tear to my eye....

  • saw this live in 80,Foghat was headlining with them at Henry Levit Arena in wichita,ks...

  • godzilla play a badass drums solo

  • All you "good" (bad) singers like justin beeber and such getta kick outta this LOOK AT IT LOOK AT TRUE TALENT YOU "good singers"

  • Sounds like Something big's Cominn this Way!..............................GAWDZIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLAAA!

  • OK... this kicks ASS...

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • i saw this in st louis in 1980 on the black and blue tour with black sabbath. boc opened up and they blew sabbath away. ozzy was gone from sabbath but boc was and is my favorite. seen them first in 78 at superjam at the old busch stadium and many times since

  • @tat2gar60

Fuck off, Sabbath is better with Dio. BoC is great but Sabbath is better.

  • So fucking beast, it burns!

  • This shit raaawwwwkkkzzz!!!1111!!

  • Is the drummer Godzilla or not?

  • I saw them play this live at the Rose Bowl in July of '82. Journey was headlining. The stadium, which is massive, was completely packed, and when the giant Godzilla rose up from the stage with the glowing eyes and smoke pouring out, the entire crowd went absolutely batshit. It was so so so much fun!

  • Its so amazing that the youth of those days were able to witness and hear talent and creativity of that caliber. Its rare to even come close to a band in this current time to pull off some wicked stage presence and magic ike this here!

    wow.

  • sick shit

  • the original monster of rock

  • Love it! Saw them at age 16 with my soon to be husband and my brother..the first concert I ever saw...was fucking awesome....thank you!!!!

  • Hey you J BIeber !

    HEAR what talent is !

    AND CRY !

  • Best song introduction EVER!

  • Man, I wish I was there. BOC FTW !!!!

  • F%$k justin bieber and this generation

  • @wbrosen Thats what i keep saying.

  • @wbrosen

But that's Justin Bieber's dad on drums ... Justin Bieber used to sing in a BÖC cover band don't ya know.

  • @wbrosen FORGET JUSTIN BEIBER!!!!!!! WHY ALWAYS COMMENT ON HIM IF YOU TRULY DO NOT LIKE HIM??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DON"T GIVE HIM THE ATTENTION!!!!!!

  • they shot him and he meowed

  • godzilla is good at the drums.

  • Dude, I was there in 1980. I remember Godzilla playing the drums.

  • So this is what the Black and Blue tour was like. I was there but for some reason I dont remember much , lol

  • @7777jpaul Fuckin' lmao!!...I followed the Black and Blue tour through New England....those were the day's man!! I don't remember much either....except the drummer for BOC had the Godzilla head....fucking awesome.

  • suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper!

  • quickbeat hi hats!

  • man, you know that lead guitarist for boc was fantastic and i don't think given the credit he deserved,,,rock fusion,,,jazz fusion,,, you name it fusion,, he really is brilliant!,, i've had a band, (deuce) for nearly 30 yrs,,godzilla is a song we started doing back in 83 or 84 because it was a song that wasn't getting airplay & deuce thought it was a song that needed to be heard!,,please check it out at 437boxed on U tube,, plus many other classic rock tunes. (nugent ,animals, zepplin) rock on!

  • i saw them and black sabath on the black and blue tour great times

  • @Shagz very close, it's a Gibson Explorer

  • I saw BOC at the Day on the Green in 1980. Ozzy Osbourne was the head liner, but this tune stole the show.

  • shit, this opening...GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODZILLA....fantastic!

  • Godzilla+ Rock and Roll = increible!

  • the Oyester are fucked up shit man xD. Srsly, smoke a joint while listening to this shit .-.

  • The fkin best song they ever did

  • Anybody know what kind of guitar Buck Dharma is using?

  • @kwakis i'm not an expert, but it looks a "gibson freebird" to me

  • @kwakis: Guiliano Balestra Vulcan. Looks like a luthier's job made after the design made by Balestra (he's a designer, not a luthier I think)...

  • Great jam. Like this song. Thanks for the upload.

  • maybe I shoulnt have done that last bowl.....

  • BOC ROCK POUGHKEEPSIE NY

  • I saw them back in 1979 at the old Portland Memorial Colosium in Portland Oregon doing this song with the same effects. Wow, talk about a trip!

  • @mathis21 Oh ya! I saw them live in 1981 in Potland Maine. Excellent show.

  • Fukushima Daiichi reactor has released enough gamma ray radiation to create a massive radioactive beast fueled by the spilt energy of mans hubris and bent on the destruction of his shocked creators .

History shows again and again how nature points out the follies of man.

  • @Chaster064 I was at this exact show too. But it wasn't the Jones Beach Theater. It was at Nassau Colliseum in 1980 and (even though they had equal billing) BOC opened for the "the new" Black Sabbath (with Ronnie James Dio) It was the "Black & Blue" tour. Believe it or not, a movie ("Black & Blue") was released and included this clip.

  • this is fuckin awesome!! these guys are still goin, I need to go see them while I can... my mom says she went to a Blue Oyster Cult concert when she was pregnant with me... might explain why I'm addicted to rock n' roll!!

  • That would suck if an epileptic was in the crowd during the drum solo

  • @ifyouwantblood97 Or if drummer itself was an epileptic :) Had one im my band some years ago :)

  • @ifyouwantblood97

That would suck watching that video if you were epileptic. Holy crap that editing was terrible. Great song. Good performance. Bad video editing.

  • This song is SOOOOOOOOOOO good i wish i was there

  • @gotskillz345

Mate you haven't got skills! Guitar hero is so lame how about you go buy a real guitar and hit the notes 100% on that! Don't worry its easy you can do it in power chords heres a start for you. F#, B, C#, G#, A, D#, E, B.

TV and Video games (Unless educational) is just mindless bullshit!

  • BUCK ROCKS!!!

  • I saw this show. The one at Nassau Coleseum that is anyway. Twisted Sister opened up I think. Alarming how 2 hits of mesc, a quaalude and about 40 pill-joints cloud memories. But I remember that drum solo; I didn't know the guy had a mask, I thought it was my near-lethal intoxication.

  • BLACK and BLUE tour !!

  • i caught this tour in 1980 at orange show stadium in san bernardino ca. molly hatchet and ac/dc opened up for them.it was the last day of summer before i started my senior year. real crazy scene there.

  • I miss the days of awesome drum solos. I saw BOC in the mid 80s. They told us that because of budget cuts we would have to use our imagination. Imagine something .....big...and .....green! And then this two storey high Godzilla head comes up from behind the stage. Smoke and flames came out of its mouth. The drummer threw his drumsticks at it. Blew my freakin mind!

  • @nanabijou62 there are some drum solos that are way too long. The only people liking those are way too stoned to remember them later.

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ZillaGod............... Da Da Da Danah !!!

  • He picks up abus and he throws it back down as he raves through the buildings toward the center of town ! Oh NO , they say has to go , Oh no Godzilla !

  • With a purposeful grimmas and a terrible sound , he pulls those high tension wires down ! Helpless people on subway trains scream " My God " as he gleams in on them !

  • Eric is hard rock's greatest Jew! David Lee Roth does not compare.

  • @hatmap nooooooooooooooooo they are jewish??????

    thats ok

  • BOC is one of the all time classic rock groups. Listening to them brings back my youth. Minus the weed, and hangovers.

  • I love how this isnt some cliche love song which is all we get today, You know what this song should be called: "Justin Bieber can suck it!"

  • Was this the show at Lebanon Valley Speedway?

  • aw he just wants to fight Rodan, let him and he'll eventually tire himself out and leave
