  • Nice machine but the producer and cameraman need a good flogging. Having the camera trained on the dash during the drive is frustrating. Thanks for sharing but please try once more with a view through the windshield.

  • FUCKING SHIFT!

  • If it didn't have the redneck flames, it would be THE ultimate sleeper.

  • what type of accent is that british and did i spell accent right please reply

  • @kerwinrubi lol! do you watch Top Gear? It's british of course!

  • I agree, the flames don't work on this car. Isettas are meant for bright colors - with the hope other drivers will see you. I have one with the original 300 engine. If that engine gives out, I'm doing this.

  • shouldnt have done the flames... ruins the car

  • that must be fun to ride in

  • no wonder why you have overheating problems, you never shift!

  • where did u get it from

  • greeeeat isetta!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you should post another vid of the isetta when it has better tires

  • Yes More Videos Please! These is such a lovely car Evil Taking Over. I would love to have one Issetta myself. This Swap and Mods are just Breathless

  • what a beautiful noise at high revs...

also you dont get a real feel of exactly how small the car is till the end, it looks like a closed rounded golf cart...

  • "He´s only 13 and learning" - lol

  • Brilliant!

  • God Job. Nice bildt.

  • I'm looking into getting a de carlo/BMW 700 replica and putting in either some hayabusa or some motorcycle engine in it, set up for racing with proper seats and belts, air conditioning and so on and so forth.

  • I just went on some VW forum and apparently he sold it. No more vids guys.

  • yeah take it up to 140 we want to see it crash

  • dam im a gool and i wanted to see that crash and burn lol

  • paint job sucks..

  • wana sell them????

  • i want another video...

    0-60mph time??

    0-100mph time??

    and 0-100mph-0 time??

    this would be great!!

also im not sure if you said in the vid but i couldnt hear all to good, what is the bhp/weight ratio??

its got to be better than a f1... or buggati

  • More footage!... awesome hot rod..

  • What, point the camera out the windscreen.

How are you shifting? Foot controls?

Sounds just like a motorbike should.

How fast did you get it up to? Sounded fast.

Get it up to 140 so, as you say, we dudes on YouTube can have a laugh.

  • he didn't say dudes, he said ghouls.

  • Twood be nice ta ave a look out the bloody windscreen, now woodin it?

  • Paint it in BRG and I would buy it.

  • Brilliant.

  • Wow that is insane man! You are awesome. It sounded exactly like a Hayabusa, my mouse was shaking when you drove that car, it's so loud, nice work.

  • That is far better than the donut doing Smart Cars.

  • would you sell it to me i need to upgrade from my 50 cc moped vespa ciao to get to the pub. i suspect i could do it in aboot 1 min i this machine , and when the ladys flock to my epic ride theyed have to sit on me lap ....pure genius . now does it have a beer holder

  • haha, "oh no, there's stuff in the way"

  • lol, i bet that weighs less than the origional hayabusa XD

  • you should stick a turbo in it and see what happens :D

  • DAMN FUCK!!! nice job but next time look in front with the cam. 'cause I fucking don't care of tha speed-o-meter....

  • coffin with wheels.... i like

  • That Isetta is flippin COOL!!

    Great looking craftsmanship.

  • This is probably the craziest car engine meets bike I've ever seen. Sir, you are a nutty petrolhead, I salute you!!

  • Hey!! We Want more of your work!! Please post more

    Great Job!

  • Video of something other than the dashboard would have been cool.

  • lol rofl!!

  • i like it a lot really and i also own a busa..i wouldn't try to drive this evil thing at all.

  • haha i dont blame you .

  • Are you going to let the boy borrow that to take his date to prom in.

  • Extraordinary!

  • nice very nice i like it ! ^ ^ keep doing cars like this but use axels between the wheels more larger to get more speed on the cars ! ^ ^

  • i wouldn't have imagoned a man who sounds like that would drive a machine like that lol!

    1999 model was un-restricted hehe

  • Hayabusa 1300 engine is from the motorcycle?

Or am I mixing things up?

  • Yes its a very fast street bike motor.

  • fun project... is it legal to drive it on the streets of britan ?? here in denmark every thing thats is fun is eligal...

  • Well I enjoyed the clip. Apart from the paint job I like the attention to detail on everything else.

  • Why didnt they get a shot of the road instead of just the instrument panel?

    Oh well very interesting still.

  • send it to topgear... gotta love the crazy brits.

  • it actually looks like the back is the front

  • What kind of voice is that?

  • how is it on the track?

  • there is benjamin in the front seat haha

i dont usually like the tea drinkin type like yourself with that stupid voice but you cany be too bad coz that wee thing is nuts

  • it looks like and R2D2 on roids

  • wierd sound of that person

  • Am I the only one that thinks its a bit slow? Don't mean it in a bad way, Its just that busa motor's are VERY fast and I am just not seeing it here? I know the tires cant go faster then 80. I don't mean topspeed.

  • Outstanding! In a mad way. 5 stars & fave! I'm presuming that you're fairly happy with the handling, other wise you wouldn't be giving it the beans like that! Have you managed to get it through the MOT test?

  • This would BY FAR make the worlds FUNNIEST police chase.

  • Holy cow that can shift!

  • wish the camera had looked out the windows a bit instead of locked on the instrument pod

  • wicked! 5/5

  • Very impressive, awesome car.

Did you consider building in a BMW motor-engine?

  • but the 1999 suzuki hayabusa 1300cc whatever engine has an external oilcooler, where did you put it?

  • Why do Americans pronounce it IZetta? Its ISetta!!!

  • you seriously think this guys accent is AMERICAN?!

  • Very cool. Can you film more of road so we get an idea of how quick please?

  • What is a replicur, the previous owner did a quarter mile in 12.7seconds what was he doing pushing it, it goes from normal temp to zero in 5 min. zero is freezing.

  • 0 centigrade i think

  • I wonder how high they would rate it if it was crash tested!

  • your voice has the potential for television

  • Wicked car, great engine. Once you got the tires sorted you might consider a Turbo. You want to sell it, oh and I like the Peter Cook accent.

  • he sounds like that guy on national geographic... he should be tracking lions in africa lol

  • Coolest thing ever! When can we go for a ride!

  • danger danger will robinson!

  • death trap lol id block u in at the shops !

  • Big big Idea. :-)

  • I had one of those, it was orange.

  • hey ben come on vent or css.btw u look like a gaum @ 2:30 benjy :D

  • woulda been nice to see the road for a few seconds.

  • I would have made the car look as standard as possible with more original looking hubcaps on wide rims.

  • so build your own.

  • fun idea but shame still apears to need plenty of tweeking. obviously the donor car is means something to you because seems like a crappy choice but hey what ever floats ur boat. imo its just to small to make it worth while using the busa engine.

  • *You sound like Tiff Needell (Ex Top Gear)

  • I think u mean 5th gear

  • I think u mean ex top gear

  • I think u mean 5th gear

  • No, he was in top gear before 5th gear.

  • ok srry

  • I put a Hayabusa 1300cc engine in a 1986 Mini Piccadilly.

I also had problems with the cooling, leading me to actually removing the grille and surrounding area and installing air scoops .

I sadly had to get rid of it though :(

Seeing this video just makes me want it back. The pure speed and acceleration, and the look on peoples faces when your speeding past them at 120mph is just priceless.

I thank you for uploading this video as it brings back all the lovely memories I had.

    Michael

  • Props to you, this is a solid piece of engineering!!! You could use spacers on the axils and put some cartwheels on this car, for better traction. There are some cartwheels tested and used for speeds up to 130mph! (Formula 1000)

How is the frame/chassis dealing with the emmense torque put onto it by that 1300cc engine?

  • When the previous owner first put a different engine in he had a new chassis built. He started off with a Kawasaki 900cc, then a Kawasaki 1100 turbo and then the Hayabusa. The chassis is made of tubed alluminium.

  • Haha, Hayabusa, I love those bikes so much.

  • If you had any knowledge you would realise that the wheels are small (10 inch) and you can't actually get any tyres rated over 70mph with the same measurements. I know there are some that are rated to 130mph but these rub on the wheel arches (yes I have tried them) so...now tell me. What would the clever guy do?

I would look into the atv/go-cart aftermarket for wheels.Certainly you could have someone machine you out a set with the correct offset and hight. Perhaps a trade for free advertizing?

  • 165/70X10 yoko ao32.

  • or early mini 10" wheels? get some alloy ones that are nice and wide and fitted with some yokis

  • facci vedere la strada cdoglione di merda

  • Cute car, chassis looks well engineered. Not sure it is actually legal to use it in the UK with inadequately rated tyres. MOT tests should have picked that up but they are easily distracted.

  • Why put rubbish tyres on a high powered car like that?, if you think it is dangerous that will hardly help matters...

Give it to someone who can drive it as you are obviously not up to the job.

  • Hell man, just put it to the floor till it won't go no more, and say your prayers.

  • you have minilite wheels on it i see.why dont you custom fabricate the wheel wells to accept 13+ size tires which are rated to higher speeds?

  • Props for building such a mad car

  • Well smart arse. What tyres would you use?

  • Great fun! But shame the video just pointed at the gauges for most the whole drive! :( we want to see the road and see it drive past... looking at the gauges the whole time is a shame! But the is a very fun toy...also as you said... lethal! lol. enjoy! :)

  • Why were you tugging about at quarter throttle? Because it's completely undrivable?

  • need earplugs for that, funny, this is my first favorite video from last year when i joined youtube, now i have my own little micro-car... what's the gas milage on that isetta?

  • wicked

  • really good job!!!!!!amazing

  • your projects so impressed to me.

  • Hmm... would like to see some more "action".

The Smart looks a little bit more worked out to me.

  • i think the builder is a lil bit crazy

  • Ha Ha I have a real complex now. Im off to the dentist

  • Ha Ha Ha I laughed when I read that. You are a cheeky fucker though. Your ma didnt think i was ugly last night. Was a bit crowded in her bedroom though, maybe she didnt see me

  • good job revving the engine, ben

  • and now try to talk to echoder while driving hahaha :-)

the same as a z-car conversion on a mini.

but do i like it? ..... YES, a lot!!

  • cazzate

  • how dull are you

  • nice voice

  • Some footage through the windscree would have been nice, weve already seen the instruments!!!

  • Why are brits so hyper intelligent?

  • Don't you mean English?

  • ok..

  • ???????

  • HAHHAHAHAHHA

    you're crazyyy

  • five stars.

  • haha, fantastic!! a lot more power then the original

  • Now I've seen just about everything!

  • get on it!! use that power and give us an outside shot!! get some good tires man so you don't kill your self...

  • haha his voice craks me up lol

  • not a Brilliant vid, but deffinatly a brilliant car, it sounds so cool!

  • fantastic project- inspirational.

  • Scary motor, without wrecking an original car. I think your replicar was designed for a small honda engine. Lots of fun.

  • somthing like the 300 bhp supercharged honda motor that was put in the Atom?

  • If this is a 'Zetta' replica(tri tech?) then it could have had a honda CN250 water cooled automatic when it started life. I guess that it would have been about 15bhp? Perhaps the owner will let us know.

  • The Pink one is a Zetta (tri-tech replica) with a Honda Spacey 250cc automatic scooter engine. This is the engine it still has.

The grey/flames isetta started off as an original 250cc (13hp) but now has the 1300cc Hayabusa engine (175hp) 6 speed.

    Both are water cooled.

  • ahahahaa wtf that car rox

  • what a lovely dash board must get me one of them it plays haybusa sounds

  • are you serious I think would feel more safe in a smart diablo

  • nice one. respect.!

  • well i think that's Kamikazeee..

  • pussy 140 mph!!!

  • Cool!

  • I have a better use for that engine, what a waste

  • seems to have gained an extra wheel!?

  • some isetta have 4 wheels

  • next time show us the dam road

  • What's the point of constructing such a vehicle if you are not going to drive 300 kmh with it.

  • If you owned it i'm sure you wouldn't drive that fast...the fastest it has done is 140mph which was at santa-pod done by the previous owner. The suspension is too hard and it jumps when it hits a bump.

  • HA!!! Love it, ever thought of making it a bit more subtle?

Commentary was awesome, love the accent.

  • More ACTION, please!!

  • too much video of the instrument cluster

  • Na seht ihr, klein aber fein!!! :-))

  • Indeed, great project. Nice engineering (literally!)

But christ, show me some speed! Not just the sunlight-reflections in the instrumentarium!

    Thought thats nice too ofcourse.

But that's not what i am looking for.

I'll stay tuned for the next episode, hoping (and even praying) that it will be good this time!

  • Hi, I am benjy911's dad!

I agree with Redshift. When we did the video we didn't plan it we just got the car out and off we went. When the weather perks up we will have another go but what I really need is a cameraman and another driver, then we could do an acceleration contest between the bubble & my 911. Trouble is that once you start messing around there's always more risk involved and I don't want a speeding ticket or damage!

Positive comments appreciated abusive ones not!

  • OMG we hear enough of you on the video sssssh

  • You need more external shots of the car being driven and while the instrument cluster is nice the odd shot of the outsider world going by would be good to convey to feeling of speed traveled, I rate this vid 6 out of 10.

  • Great car, great video apart from the filming

  • Gee, I never get tired of staring at the instrument cluster!

  • !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great car, engine sounds good!
