I think this pedal looks, well, sounds great, as long as you have some idea of how to set it up right. Defiantly suited for solid state amps though, would be great for home use. Im getting one without a doubt :)
From what i've noticed most people who call the pedal shit just don't normally know how to use it. Or they don't try and adjust their equipment to it then they get shit sound.
Definitely need a lot of persistence to finally get the right tone out of one of these. The EQ knobs are really, REALLY sensitive. I've had mine for 2 months and I finally got it to sound right. Good for metal, go figure.
dude , i conected my mt 2 pedal to an adaper that wasnt a boss adapter , it had higer voltage so it fried , what can i do plase help me , im not an expert with this kinda things , , all i gotta do is change the wires , or is it far beyond repair ?????:S:S:S
While this is pretty boring and the guitar playing isn't world class, I dissagree about the petal. I have a gibson 1976 firebird and play it through an old Randal half stack, and I find that I can get some pretty nice tone and distortion from it. The only downsides are that it won't give you the super high attack hardcore death metal sound and it does need a noise gate petal to cut down on noise, but I personally am very pleased.
SO BORING!! No body follows the instructions, just experiment with it. You can get way better sounds if you go through different settings on the amp as well.
He always looks like he just rolled out of bed. "Agh"......."Damit!" "Have to get up for work and test a peice of equipment". "I wonder if they'll have donuts in the brake room".

Go for the metal muff. It has a more natural sounding distortion. IDK, but boss distortion pedals sound so fake and processed. I say go for the metal muff or the mxr fullbore.
I <3 technical metal but unfortunately for you bro, i dont know what pedal would be good. Depends what band. Give me the name of a band whose tone you want.
Dude I love the faceless. An autopsy has my favorite breakdown ever. You might want to avoid pedals in general. You would like a nice amp distortion. Line 6 or Randall. You really dont get the tone you want with one of these pedals.
ya i really dig the jazz influenced solos on planetary duality.. i have a fender hot rod deluxe tube amp, so the distortion isnt good for tech death really...
thanks man but never mind i found an even better pedal now that wipes both the metal zone and core out of the water, just listen to EHX's metal muff, u'll see what i mean, its a very versatile pedal.
I have pretty much the same question...if I want to play music like disturbed or slipknot which pedal would be best? Metal core or Metal zone?...I was thinking metal core but idk for sure yet b/c they both sound awesome lol
Which pedal would be better for Pantera and Metallica stuff? The Mt-2 or the Ml-2? Also, at one of my local music stores there is an Mt-2 on sale for $50 and a Ml-2 for $80. So should I get the metal zone?
How stupid are you? I mean You Tube gives you a spell check, the least you could do is fix the obviously misspelled words, like "Affensive" or "douch". Go to school kthnxbai.

ok well oviously both are very metal pedals
but like the metal ZONE is more twequabul and alot lighter compared... people say its more of the lead version
and the metal CORE is ALOT of low and high its like for your thick THIIIICK RHYTHM stuff like really just... thick low end over the top...
but really both are awesome ive messed with both and like em heaps
really u have to mess with them yourself and decide for your self
