I think that female Naval Aviator graduated flight training with my brother. I remember going down to Kingsville around Dec. 2003, for his graduation and seeing her, I'm pretty sure it's her. If it is I'm glad she made her dreams come true and is flying Super Hornets.
i am 14 years old and i REALLY want to become a airforce pilot or a commercial airliner pilot... is it really as hard as people say it is? i would appreciate your help. thnx :)
I saw the movie Top Gun when i was a kid and that was it. I was hooked. Its still in my mind, the image of Maverick in the cockpit buzzing the Tower and then rolling the Tomcat, his eyes bursting with joy and happiness and that smile od his. Sigh.
I am a 21 yr old woman and I am looking for a mentor. I recently went back to college to finish my associate...only half way there, but better to have something than nothing correct? Is there anyone who is willing to mentor me and my dream to become a cargo pilot? Thank you!
Have you attended any Women in Aviation or 99s meetings? They have mentor programs and so does AOPA and EAA. There's links to all these at FlyGirlFly dotcom. Click on "Wanna Fly?" and scroll down. Cheers,
hello fly girl i wanted to become a pilot to but i cant its too expensive i cosses about a million here in philippines they also have bad facilities do you know what advise or tip you have for me to become a pilot??? the problem only is we dont have a lot money for a million just to become a pilot and its only a 2year course not like the aeronautical engineer so pls pls pls what courseshould i go??
yep, but she was flying f-14's back then. The two pilots in that film are very inspirational. Well worth watching for anyone with any interest in aviation.
You are a little behind the times, my friend. Women have been flying fighters for about 15 years. Women also flew in WWII for WASP.
If you'd like to hear about a fighter pilot's story learning to fly a TomCat and flying sorties in the Middle East, check out SpeedandAngels dotcom. Cheers, Syd
I learned to fly and completed first solo at age 15 here in Canada. Earned my Canadian RPP at 16 and then my Canadian PPL at 17. I am male and all of my instructors in the past were female.
I am now moving to the United Arab Emirates to fly the A320. I am 20 years of age.
I definitely recommend the UAE for pilots in search of jobs. Airlines such as Emirates and Etihad are booming right now. It is quite different from the industry here in Canada and the USA.
Thank you for creating this video. It's truly inspiring. :)
I'm currently 15 years old and turning 16 in December, and for a long time I've wanted to become a pilot.
A weeks ago I went on my TIF (Trial Instructional Flight) and it truly decided for me that this was the thing I wanted to do. I have always been very interested in aviation and have grasped many concepts that you would learn through PPL training already, and that will be a great advantage when I start training in a few weeks.
Hello! I'm 16 years old... a lot of people started to fly at my age... but I've actually not connection with aviation... I hope it isn't too late... What do you think?
Ok, so i want to be a pilot and always have done since i was young, my family isnt the best of... so lessons and stuff would be a problem... Any pointers?
Yes, I have so many pointers, I can't fit them all here. I pass on everything I've learned in a DVD which will be out in 2 weeks. Please hang on just a little while and I promise to answer all your questions! Syd
I am 23, currently working in two jobs towards PPL in flight school then CPL at uni more chance of employment and major airlines in future. About 26yrs of old, I will finish CPL so whats ur view below 30yrs old, will have good chance working in major airlines?
this answered some of my questions. but my main question is wat should i do to start learning. i do not know anything about flying. and im am 13 years old.
Okay, I'm working on a DVD that will be more in depth. It covers everything you should know about how and where and when to get started. I'll let you know when it's out.
you should buy a game called Flight Simulator X then go to learning center then click the tab lessons that is a ground and flight school in your computer trust me i nailed my private pilot license with that. (O and the lessons might seem hard at first)

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Since the first aeroplane was invented by Wright Brother in 1903, what does aviation and flying means to our society and the world?
(2) What does aviation and flying means to female? (eg. Amelia Earhart, first femlae pilot in US Altantic Ocean)
(3) Why do ladies love flying, including me?
(4) What kind of social value(s) does female pilot bring to our society?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm! :)

I found my Private Pilot mentor at WAI. If it wasn't for her...I would still be working on my private certificate.
Also....my guidance person at school told me I would never fly since I wore glasses. Sigh.
