At this particular eatery, we can park all the bikes along the side of the building and still keep an eye on them through the windows while we eat. It's usually best to find a place with an outdoor eating area.
hi mate, jez again. thanx for responding. Makes sense what your saying. do you think riding a trike will help my knees become stronger? would you say a trike is easier to cover distance on rather than a standard cycle? you may have guessed i used to cycle a lot in my early 20's. now 34 with kids and a beer belly, looking for something new to help get fit, loose a few pounds and strenghten up my legs and knees. regards jez...ps how did your mum like the trike, was it her first time?
Yes, building up the muscles around your knees will take stress off them by supporting them better. This video wasn't her first trike ride, but it was an early one! She still rides about twice a week and has some pretty impressive muscle buildup around her knees! You just have to remember to take it easy when you first start riding so you don't strain anything and give your muscles a chance to build up. Best of all, it's fun riding a trike so the exercise isn't a chore :)

hi mate, asking a Q from across the pond :-) How is a trike with the knees? ive heard conflicting comments about the act a recumbent can hurt your knees? i have a bit of a dodgy knee and wanted to know what you think/ havnt had chance to ride one yet, i imagine they are very comfy compared to a standard bike? regards jez
@delboyjdf Hi, Jez. Riding a recumbent uses muscles that are very different from those you'd use on an upright.bike. Most of the muscles used on a recumbent are on top of the legs, with those surrounding the knees doing a lot of work. When these muscles haven't been properly conditioned, undue strain will go to the knees themselves with resulting knee pain. If you take it easy for a few weeks and spin up hills in a low gear (no mashing) you'll build up these muscles and everything will be fine.
Motor assisted trikes ought to be carrying those rocks uphill. Human powered only trikes can take them down again. Overall everyone will be faster and the job of tossing rocks around still gets done. Who said saving energy to safe our planet is difficult? Those stupid gold diggers left the best bits not knowing how valuable these tailings would turn out to be.
They were made by Jerry of Jerry's Flags, but Jerry has since retired :( As far as I know, he's not making flags anymore, but maybe you can get the folks over at 'Bentrider Online to take up a petition to drag Jerry out of retirement :)
What do you do with the trikes while you're INSIDE the "fine dining establishment?"

@Trikesalot Good question!

He also put a small motor on the Catrike, so he may have used that to carry the rocks :)

The trike going in the opposite direction at 4.11 looks like a Masa Slingshot.

Good eye! That's what it is! I've talkedto that fellow a few times and he loves that trike. He also owns a Catrike.

Now we know who put all those tailings on the hill. It was the guy with the Slingshot.
