I own i fairly high powered duramax, and will tell you we do have our problems with them, i have been through a cracked pist, a cm alignment pin shear, and a blown hed gasket. What it all comes down to is the person buildin the truck. Ford, dodge, chevy, if you want it bad enough they cann ll be taken to the exteme

Diesels are built so much heavier and designed for pulling torque rather then horsepower ... that's why semi trailers are diesel of 400 to 650 hp and 1650 to 2050 ft lbs torque .... try getting that torque from a petrol engine producing that sort of hp

In order to have over about 25 psi you need a modified turbo and intake. Most diesel pickups run about 20 to 25 psi tops. I have never heard of a pickup running 100 bullydogs drag pickup that was on pinks is only running 50 psi.

It's not really part Dodge at all. Cummins is it's own company, they just sell their engines to Dodge. Kinda like how International sells its Powerstroke to Ford and Isuzu sells the Duramax to GM.

The only diesel engines made by the company that used them was the 6.2/6.5L Detroit (Owned by GM) and Ford made their own 7.3L TurboDiesel (not an International/Navistar) in 1994/95.
