The poor lady was frightened! If I saw anything like that, my arms would have been available to make her feel safe from the harm of DUMBFUCKS who are so insensitive to the needs of someone who just wants to be left alone.

As totally annoyed as I might feel in that situation, I do not encourage hitting the very abusive flight attendent. I would just argue with her and tell her to buzz off. The guy in the seat by the elderly lady was a complete jerkoff for not being much more understanding.
