The BAT and the other masks you asked about all work about the same. They are not custom designed to fit against a particular model of goggles. This requires you to overlap the goggles on the top of the mask. You get complete coverage for protection and even improved ventilation because of the separation of the lower goggle seal from the cheek. The problem is that there can be gaps from a mismatch of the shape of the goggle to the shape of the mask.
The BAT and the Matrix Iron Face Carbon Steel Gen 2 are almost the same, but they are made by different manufacturers. You can more easily tell the difference between te Stalker and te Matrix Iron Face Carbon Steel Gen 1.
How is the aiming with the Stalker mask, as far as aiming down the sights? The current mask i'm wearing is hard plastic and I can't physically look down my sights, it's quite a pain.
It's better than some, but it is not perfect. I suggest trying out a riser if you use optics. You may also consider the HeroShark which wears a little closer to the face and can come with optional ear protectors.
It's not just about the strength of the material. The reliability of the attachement, placement, or anchoring also factor in to the safety of any given system.
For the maximum protection, including ears, I recommend using the ESS Profile goggles with attached Cortex Clip with either the BAT or the Heroshark wire mesh masks. You can use a mask without ear protection if you wear a com set with circumaural (around the ear) headphones. Masks to consider for use without included ear protection include the Heroshark without the ear flaps, the Brass Guard Stalker, the Bitter End, and the inexpensive Hakkotsu Iron Face.
Great video, but I also think that gear should also be looked at as being "tacticool". Personally, the fencing mask looks a bit ridiculous to me. Also, have you thought about testing mouthguards? Many players wear them to larger OPs.
Dr. Kihara recommended the mouth guards because of the additional benefit of protection from other trauma that occurs when playing hard in the woods. The podcast is available on cqbradio.com.
It could if it was going fast enough. I don't have any easy way to come up with numbers for this one, so I'll have to guess. I think it would take a combination of a very fast gun with a very short range to fracture tooth enamel through a closed lip. In conclsion, it would be considered a very rare injury. I have never heard of a tooth fracture through closed mouth.
That gurl under the brassguard was pretty creepy

@auburnmedicalgroup ok cool thanks my only concern was if the goggles would fit with the nose piece on the mask
MrSuperboss101 10 months ago
@MrSuperboss101
It is not a perfect fit, but you can get by with overlapping the two.

Buy the BAT at Airsoft GI for $7 cheaper. It's listed as Matrix Iron Face Carbon Steel "Striker."

@auburnmedicalgroup what would be the best airsoft mask? I got a save phace, but it doesn't cover all of my face. My ears and chin are exposed.
