For those of us natives here in Los Angeles who are old enogh to remember this stadium you will recognize the old Gilmore stadium where the Hollywood Stars, our original baseball team, played before the Dodgers came out from Brooklyn. This stadium was located across from where the Farmers Market still sits. You can see a short clip of this dance on Ralph Edwards "Things that aren't there anymore". I don't believe this is a contest as they often did entertainment shows here.
