  • yawn ... just another loud mouthed pseudo liberal tit ..education is not a right

  • So the government should force you to allow people on to your property?

People can receive services without compensating the service provider?

    Power should not be personalized?

Ideas are false because they are not in full effect somewhere in the world?

Why would black people or gay people want to be served in a restaurant that is being FORCED AGAINST THEIR WILL TO SERVE THEM BY THE GOVERNMENT because they are BIGOTS?Let their business ROT. You do not have a RIGHT to services or products.

  • You can't remember what the question was because Ron Paul never dodges a question!

  • No wonder this guy has substituted for Keith Olberman, they compare pretty evenly with Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity. 'Higher education' isn't necessary if you have a brain and are willing to work hard. My brother has nothing but an associate's degree from a community college, and he's had a good job for years. College is a cartel because it is subsidised by government, it wasn't expensive 40 years ago.

  • higher education is not a right and often is a waist of time. as for student loans its like starting a buisness put money in you may or may not get money out its an investment. if you are rich its no big deal to throw that money around such is life. your fantasy would is government gives money to invest many people agree with you so it has become a right. but as is human nature people piss away stuff given and not respect wht its worth. similar to that bail out private corperations buisnes.

  • @ab5441 When someone cant afford healthcare and becomes sick this is not a choice. When someone cannot find a job because unemployment is mandatory in a capitalist system it is not a choice. When someone is born in the wrong area and got a poor education it is not a choice. This is something libertarians either dont understand or chose not to

  • @Flimsii what are you asking me. im open to government health care and most public education is poor beacause of the government...... dont hit reply unless your adressing me on somthing i posted

  • Free Talk Live have invited him to a debate, let's see if he lives up to his challenge.

  • I'd seriously like to see Tom Woods talk some sense into this statist. Why are you so opposed to freedom? In a free society, rich people get poorer if they don't share their wealth. Sharing is great! In a big government environment like you want, the rich and the government are in bed with each other and the poor are kept down and given food stamps instead of pay checks. Deep down I'm hoping you're saying these things because you think the govt will shut you down if you speak against them.

  • um... private loans?? the crowding out effect libertarians refer to is perfectly displayed by government student loans (GSL). GSLs can be run at a loss, meaning that the government doesn't recoup its investment in the student, meaning that the more GSLs the less private loans there will be, meaning that banks stop offering student loans because of unfair competition. Sounds good, right? So why stop at student loans? Food, housing, and healthcare are all necessities too, why not go big gov?

  • Most people confuse college, and trade school anyway. If the Gov. wasn't sponsoring student loans the cost of going to school wouldn't be increasing at a startling pace.

  • On the issue of free speech. Store owners, according to the constitution, can sell or choose to not sell to people even if it's based on prejudice. Prejudice is horrible, I wish we could rid the world of it. But who's going to buy from the asshole grocer who's also a white supremacist? The idiot will go out of business. It's 2012, there are a lot more racially considerate people in the country. The difference between you and I is that you have faith in the legislator, I have faith in mankind.

  • The only thing the extreme availability of student loans causes is an INCREASE IN THE COST TO GO TO COLLEGE. Think about it. Colleges know that the government will just throw out loans to anybody, so what of course is the next step? If everyone can now afford college through loans, raise the prices. This is the process. And corporations with private armies? You think anyone would buy from Sony if they had their own army? You do a lot of yelling and very little sound analysis.

  • explain how college gets paid for within a system of fiat and fiction? that is what we're forced to deal with. what incentive do I have to create something new and valuable like say a guitar for the music market if 40-60% gets taken by an government and redistributed in ways that assault my perception of life liberty and happiness.

Only a Democracy would do such a heinous thing. and I wouldn't have the incentive to give my wealth and time back to the community I wish to help build.

    Art.4 sec.4

  • @DanielShaysRebellion Oh and I do not, nor will I ever take the alleged "benefits" or alleged "privileges" offered by your Democracy.....

in a Republic under rule of Law where all People are created equal Freedom is the only entitlement expected or needed

I do not consent, nor am I required to consent to citizenship in a corporation of fascism democracy and monopolistic tyranny

    Pax

  • @DanielShaysRebellion Tell that to millions who are now in the middle class because they used some form of government aid to get through college, whether it be subsidized student loans or grants. I don't see how any of that was formed by democracy; it's still republic, implemented by elected officials. At some point, whether directly or in directly, you've benefited from similar government social spending.

  • @beeeefcurtains Only in you tell the OTHER millions that are now NOT in the middle class bc they were sold the promise that if you had a degree, you had a job. Tell the silent majority that are BURIED under college debt that this over-expensive secondary education is worth getting people a free lunch. Tell the people that were educated BEFORE the Dept of Education was formed that college is now cheaper AND more accessible...I would voluntarily exempt myself from ALL services to reduce my taxes

  • @beeeefcurtains Classic collectivist cop-out. clearly you do not understand the difference between a Republic and a Democracy. clearly you do not fathom the differences between "specific delegated authority" which constitutions grant to "Public servants" and unalienable rights retained by We the People. elected Officials are employees, they have nothing to give away so before there can be a "benefit / privilege" there must be a taking of resources from some source...

  • @DanielShaysRebellion sometimes that is via legitimate taxes and excise or duties imposed, however ever since FDR and the 1933 bankruptcy and particularly since 1971 USDollars are exclusively FIAT..... worthless,.... counterfeit private script conveys NO benefit! fraud cannot beget fraud

re-read FDR's BoR speech 15 dec 1941 you'll see where the idea of privilege comes from. govt grants nothing we People do not have to give or share

You've been defrauded and still volunteer

  • @DanielShaysRebellion Okay. whatever. I didn't think someone could say so little in so many words. Oh wow, you can make observations (use wikipedia) about fiat money. BTW how does the government infringe on any of your inalienable rights? Do you really want your freedom staked on the "free market " or on how much property you own? That's usually what libertarians want. It seems to me you're probably being exploited and don't even know it. Cultural hegemony at work.

  • Isn't the internet a free market? Who is this guy? 0 facts. lol

  • @MrFmmcosta so where would you go if someone ripped u off on the internet?

  • @VerifiedNews Where would you go if someone ripped u off on the real world? LOL

  • @MrFmmcosta in the real world you have the same question...If you aren't willing to form some sort of ruleset then you're left with vigilante justice, lynch mobs, corporate security goons shooting down the lynch mobs....

    etc

  • @VerifiedNews now seriously.... give me an example of how I would get ripped off on the internet and I will answer you! give me some context.

  • @MrFmmcosta say you buy something online, and the company turns out to be a shell, just collecting cash and moving out before inquiries or complaints start.

What's to stop the same people from opening shop again? And how would ever be able to get remedy?

What if a business polluted your water supply, and killed your family? A realistic possibility.

We need government. Just not breathing down the people's neck. A government to protect the people. That's what it's supposed to be.

  • @VerifiedNews Let's say I use Paypal to pay for what I buy, in that case Paypal would refund me. Been there, done that.

There is a role for the government in libertarianism. If a business pollutes a water supply then they would be sued out of existence and not protected by the government as they are today. Besides that there's property rights which would put them in jail. Not rocket science.

  • @MrFmmcosta Also there are the other governments to worry about....

  • @MrFmmcosta I'm primarily against applying the concepts of libertarianism to business...

  • @VerifiedNews Friend Libertarianism is a economic/political system and not a Commerce system. Do you understand the difference? I take it that you do since it seems you studied sovereignty.

  • @MrFmmcosta How is economics and commerce not interconnected?

  • @DanielShaysRebellion I didn't say they weren't. I just said they are not the same thing because Commerce is much more. My point was that Free Market doesn't mean lawlessness. The legal system also incorporates Commerce.

  • @MrFmmcosta thank you, agreed , except the legal system should not include commerce except in cases where damages must be recompensed upon some conviction... though that would be the "rule of Law" not the legal system.

todays courts are not article 3 compliant, and not courts but merely administrative processes.

    pax

  • @DanielShaysRebellion Unless you view every human interaction has Commerce/Contracts. But I understood what you said.

  • @MrFmmcosta Unfortunately they do view every interaction as a contract/commerce and so we must adapt to the ever present creeping fascism. No means No for boys and freedoms also

  • @DanielShaysRebellion Why unfortunately? I believe that understanding it made me a better human being. Maybe the problem is people liking to live in ignorance, including of that fact. Contracts are contracts

  • @MrFmmcosta too true, I concur, the unfortunate part is the fallout from dealing with the undisclosed fraudulent induced contracts...... Knowing they exist and getting all parties into honor or whole is completely different and exhausting.

particularly when being diverted by such obvious ignorance such as displayed in this thread....

forgive them for they know not.....

    pax

  • @DanielShaysRebellion There are too many things wrong in this world, although we can't change them all, we can change ourselves and that's all it takes. People will follow... if someone shows them the right path. Most aren't ready to be unhooked from the system but I also think that it isn't right to impose it on them. If each one does it's best people might see that the right path, although harder, is better on the long run.

  • @DanielShaysRebellion For instances, because I studied/study Commerce I believe I can beat any corporation with the right knowledge. Just by doing the opposite of what they normally do. By simply following the right path and using the right tools for the job. Maybe I'm being naive but... time will tell. Just need the raise some capital to begin. I don't mind being wrong as long as I realize that I'm wrong so I can improve myself.

  • @DanielShaysRebellion I guess that what I'm trying to say is just... don't be afraid... don't live in fear.

  • @MrFmmcosta I came here hoping to see some good arguments against libertarianism/free market/capitalism but I found no arguments at all only fallacies, attacks and insults. It's a shame, I guess I will have to look elsewhere.

  • A world where government doesnt abuse its power CAN NOT EXIST!!! This fucked up notion that government is the savior to peoples sovereignty, to their liberty is hogwash. You are living in never never land.

  • Why do you harp on that? So no libertarian country has existed therefore it will never work? Im sorry is that how Russia went about their business when they put in place Communism. Oh it will never work so lets not try. Ancient Romes Republic didnt work out to well and guess what we are? A fucking republic. So your argument is stupid and lame.

  • There are no purely liberitarian countries in this world, but There are a group of people trying to creat charter cities in Honduras where there will be NO Government intervention.... the market will be the regulator. We'll see what happens with this project.

  • @caceres1975 The fact that he keeps harping on this point as if it's some form of argument is very telling of his stupidity.

  • @crazypants88 But he is right. If money decates everything, then if you don't have money you don't go to college. What he is saying is, if you support that, then say so. Without going any further, the liberterian has to accept that. And some do. Ayn Rand specifically says this. What is tiresome is people believing there can be a totally free and fair market. If money determines everything, then the more money you have the more power you have. What is so controversial about that?

  • @shitaye12 Money doesn't dictate everything in a libertarian society. If a super rich guy wanted to buy my land in libertopia, he'd have to rely on my consent. Unlike today where he can just appeal the state and invoke eminent domain and force me to hand over my property. And no he isn't right, it's straight up fallacy to imply that a anything is invalid because it's never been employed before. By this logic nothing is valid since at one point nothing had been tried. It's stupid.

  • This dudes awesome, telling how it is.

  • @beeeefcurtains How "it is" in a Democracy...

Have you ever read the Constitution for the United States and the State you live in? can you possibly remember enough of the 46000 rules, statutes and codes to stay on the good side of society? Do you honestly feel safe when an government is fining Amish farmers for selling milk, children for not having permits for lemonade stands, and asking for "Papers please (identify yourself) at random intervals on the Peoples highways?

    good luck

  • @DanielShaysRebellion If you don't want to live by rules that are imposed by elected officials, then go to whatever utopia it is that you seem to believe can exist if we completely abolish government. I've never been harassed by "officials" on our highways. You libertarians don't even want them to be "our" highways. You dumb fucks want everything to belong to some rich, fat fucking piece of shit. The government is far from perfect, but it isn't a dictatorship.

  • @beeeefcurtains it amazes me how uncivilized and vulgar some of you are while advocating for your perspective. You put words and conditions upon your alleged opponent and use senseless disparagement to cover your lack of factual understanding of the true conditions.

I dont advocate for zero government, and yes they are "Our highways" created and maintained by legitimate taxes founded upon constitutional principals. I want the People to own it, in republic not a Democracy

  • @beeeefcurtains was it a utopia in America when there was no income tax? when the currency was constitutionally based and valuable? when government employees understood they were there to serve the People? when privacy was just that? when welfare for corporate donations to political causes didn't exist so systemically?

Your eyes are wide shut cowboy, I want My Republic back! that is as close to Utopia as I can get in My homeland.

Read Douche-bag.. NDAA, and clean up your act

  • This dude is a douchebag.

  • Feudalism?! Really? This guy thinks libertarians want society run by lords of the state? If he's so concerned with monopoly, power, & corruption he ought to look at the govt 1st.

Govt has the legally monopoly to hold guns to people's heads & make them pay for things, or do things or not do things that they may not want or need to do. Don't believe me? Don't comply with a tax or mandate and just see if they don't send the man with the gun.

When's the last time Starbucks bombed a wedding party?

  • @MrPloppy1 LOL I wouldnt put to much thought into arguing with this guy. He is obviously a bigot. He thinks by generalizing he makes a point. Maybe he makes a point, for CNN/MSNBC/FOX watchers..

  • DAMN RIGHT!

  • I am here everyday 5 days a weeks?? 0_0

  • Libertarianism is not a utopia Sam, nor is it striving to do so. However; your Marxist world view, where people are forced to be altruistic, molded like clay, given legislative morality by the legislators, that is a Utopia by definition. Your right though Sam, we haven't had capitalism for the longest time in this country. With that said look at how well Keynesian economics, government central planning, and Marxist policies have worked to solve all of our problems.

  • Read some Austrian econ my friend. Please.

  • read milton friedman. Once you get past the cliches of common belief then post videos

  • OMG this little man is so full of it...

  • And then the God of education came down and said "i now give all of these animals the right to have there entire live bought and paid for with imaginary deflating money" socialism doesn't work man "READ BOOKS"

  • Humanitarian Bombing & Peace ( EVERYONE SHOULD SEE THIS )

  • Somalia. The Perfect Libertarian nation. filthyliberal. com eatwallstreet. com badrepublicans. com

  • without federal student loans the price to go to college would go down I would love to debate you sir it would be fun, is this show still on? same time etc.?

  • rofl, does this guy do anything other than bitch about libertarians?? get a fucking life dude

  • @ShadowPrometheus

He hates Ron Paul for the same reason most Jewish people do... he believes Israel should be entitled to all the American tax dollars and soldiers' lives that they deem necessary.

  • @bobshenix Yeah these commie Jew bastards will do everything they can to stop Ron Paul from being elected. Oh, I sound so anti-Semitic, don't I, haha! I find it interesting how Jews are, for the most part, either leftist Marxist scumbags or neocon Zionist traitors, or both.

  • @bobshenix true dat

  • When you seperate the corporations and the government you make both accountable to the people. One through a less corrupt election system and the other through where people decide to spend their money. Feudalism was backed by government power. The King delegated power to lords. Many of these big corporations only exsist because of government loans, tax favors or regulation. Then these corporations get proped up by the dollar of the poor when they are about to fail. This looks like feudalism.

  • What a douchebag. "Own it!!!" Of course Ron Paul "owned it" because he clearly stated his libertarian views for YEARS. Libertarians are not against poor people from going to college but they are against the government having to pay for them to go. If a kid is poor then he has to study hard to earn scholarships plus all colleges will help these bright kids get in. Libertarians are not for discrimination. They are against government involvement and are strict Constitutionalists.

  • @LittleVillage24 good public education is a cornerstone for a strong society...

  • What a total douchbag and idiot

  • @LordoftheKaty Yet to see one Libertarian compare. :)

  • Those who propound this fiction that government is a bulwark to corporatism are lying to themselves and others and are therefore part of the problem.

AIG, the favorite boogie-man of the left, wrote the Obamacare bill. Look it up.

If government healthcare is so great then why aren't our vets the first taken care of?

If one wants to make the argument that `all capitalism is theft', then why not allow the equally extreme position that `all government is waste, corruption, sloth, and violence'?

  • "THE CHURCH!" ... the same cop out we hear all the time.. oh god

  • Free markets are more something you move towards. The corporations wouldn't be nearly as big or powerful because in a free market.

Whats wrong with if you own a restaurant you can tell people to "go suck an egg." Its your restaurant.

Your statement that rich people only go to college is overly simplified. Business needs for educated workers mean that in that society there would be FAR more scholarships as thats a capital investment.

  • Most libertarians are proselytizers who won't just come out and blatantly tell people to suck it if they can't get into college! Libertarianism is a religion built around this hazy idea of what a true 'free market' would be like if only they got the state out of the way. They need the converts too badly. There just aren't enough of them.

  • LOL - Do you even have an inkling what a libertarian is????

  • OK, as a Libertarian I will say it, "You do not have a right to a college education." And if you'd like to debate me, you can call my radio show. Just look up 1787 Radio Network. I'll even let you plug your show live on the air.

  • All I hear is a loudmouth, all I see is a weasel, and all he's promoting is social control. No better than the "culture warriors". Another jackass screaming into a mic, that's all we need, they can fix things by raising their voice. I paid my way through school working a shit job like everyone else. The one who should suck an egg is you. Oh, I guess its my fault for not wanting a government hand out. Go shove it.

  • @VictoryInTruth & all I see a right wing PAC troll with person insults. Looking at your Libertarian Anarco-Capitalism channel, you're a few fries short of a Happy Meal!

  • @Bolgernow Is that all you got? If you think you can peddle government apologetics through loudmouth talking heads, I got a bridge to sell you.

  • @VictoryInTruth obvious Schiff troll is obvious...

  • @Bolgernow I suppose doing things the right way and paying for the things you want is trolling to useless asswipes like yourself. But hey, if you want to defend people who underhandedly call you stupid and weak, then you go right ahead. Sam Seder is assuming you're stupid, I'm just agreeing. You can cry about Schiff all day, but what have you done lately to enrich yourself? Or others? Oh, you want the government to do that. Gotcha.

  • @VictoryInTruth your incorrect assumptions make you looks like a crazy person. Again, you're clearly a troll from your channel. No more posts for you

  • @Bolgernow Clearly a troll? As if you have anything of substance to offer than "derrr right wing derrr crazy". Please do not reply, I'll contact you when I want to speak with a moron.

  • u try and make people look bad because nobody watchis your fAILING youtube channel

  • One more thing Sam, look to JON STEWART for direction on your 'comedy' routine.

As in, keep it simple, be honest, what you're doing here is not comedy.. OK?

Hubris, Snide, Trite... these things aren't funny.

  • @Zoobiesnot They're unintentionally funny!

  • Oh I've seen Sam's 'compelling' videos BTW, on how he thinks he can defeat any Libertarian in a debate. They are all total crap. He is a DEMAGOGUE. Arm waving, yelling, head-in-the-sand, near-sighted, wolf-crying, solutionless arguments.

Sam likely thinks the Patriot Act is a good thing, and watches the THREAT LEVEL CHART, every morning like the normal person would check the weather.

    PATHETIC.

  • I'm starting to wonder, if Sam Seder is doing these rants against Ron Paul and Libertarians, is actually a promotion of that cause.

He rails on about them and their beliefs, but he doesn't state how the current condition of us straying away from Libertarianism is actually working either.

In Other Words, Sam is not saying Libertarianism doesn't work, and WHAT DOES WORK is "X" or "Y".

He only rants on how the Libertarian beliefs are false, and not how Fascism is working for us...

    Heh.Great Sam!

  • Sam Seder should debate Tom Woods!

  • @Madfoot713 Seder would never want to do that, he would walk away embarrassed and found wanting.

  • So because there is no country with a free market right now, it cannot exist? You're kidding me right? Your above the age of 20 and you can't see the fallacy here?

You say that limiting government wont combat corruption because corporations are the source of corruption. How do you not understand that the tool the source uses is government?! Limiting the means of control over citizens combats the possibility for those with access to the means to exert that control.

  • Feudalism? Really? Just shows how ignorant you are of what libertarians actually want.

  • I'm sure the gays would LOVE to suck on an egg! ;)

  • I love how the children comment is backed up with some hypocritical name calling and derogatory baseless attacks with no real backing facts and just straight up hatred and bias opinion.

  • How do you tell if someone already considers themselves smarter than you before you even have a chance to speak? The posture is nose above ears....@ 2:04 you will see it. This just proves this guy is an ideologue and isn't about honest, open debate....he is only about pushing an agenda that he deems is "right" for everyone else but he never asks the question, "What if I'm wrong?" bc he will NEVER consider himself wrong. His entire "intellectual" illusion would shatter if he had to admit that

  • Would some of you "liberals"(a heinous misnomer if I've ever heard one) please respond to someone that can debate you?

  • Sam Seder...I don't think you have a clue about what you are speaking of.

In a Libertarian society, unlike the fascism you promote, corporations don't have a stake in the "rights" that a citizen has...they can hire security guards that take on the individual responsibility of the security of the corporation for compensation, but the point is that the INDIVIDUAL responsibility still exists.

I'm not really getting the vibe that this guy has a clue about Austrian Economics or individual freedoms

  • @imatruthaddict you make no sense. Legally the rights of a corporation TODAY are defined as an INDIVIDUAL you silly goof. Is that right? Hell no, but guess what? They paid lobbyists & PAC's to make a law that makes it so. Aside from insults, you didn't address the merits of ANY argument he put forth in his clips

  • @Bolgernow So take away the power from government to grant privilege...GET IT? This is a DUH situation....

  • @imatruthaddict so you'd cut off your nose to spite your face. That's specious logic at best, & self destructive over reaction to a problem at worst. The problem is the crooked cops on the beat, not the good one's. The problem is lobbyists buying policy for their corporate masters that hurt the rest of us. We need 2 things: end K street now. Done. Illegal. Next is campaign finance reform. Corporations & the wealthy can't buy politicians

  • @Bolgernow You haven't proven why government needs power to grant privilege....we'll start there and expand the debate. So why does government need power to enact and enforce legislation that puts unnecessary regulatory burden on an industry? Do you not realize that the established players, the same people you are supposedly against, can pay the regulations but the players looking to get in and COMPETE with those you DO NOT support CANNOT compete with these regulations in place?

  • @imatruthaddict you wish to do away will all cops, or at best pick which cops you want to keep for arbitrary personal reasons only important to you. Even though it's not perfect, I'd like to weed out the bad cops, while keeping the good cops. You don't think the cops should have ANY power. That makes you totally insane & lacking BASIC logic. But I'll indulge. Which specific government programs would you end & why?

  • @Bolgernow Is this how you debate? You tell other people what they are thinking so you can put them on the defensive? You know I never said anything like you are suggesting...try again buddy.

  • @Bolgernow Specifically I would move ALL troops back to American soil, keep the Navy in territorial and international waters(unless invited by the host country to dock, otherwise they would stay in International waters and buy supplies by ship-to-ship tranfer), and secure the borders with all the troops I brought home. I would also expand the VA budget and truly provide for our wounded warriors. I would also severely reduce our use of drones except for international waters and borders

  • @Bolgernow Do you not realize that the free market solution to a bad company is for it to fail and sell off its assets in bankruptcy court to a group of people that have the added incentive to listen to the consumer MUCH more closely than the company(and board, which is the true problem with the large company in the first place) that just failed? Are you for or against "bailouts"(I call them wealth transfers FROM the tax-payer, you and I, those friends and political allies)?

  • @imatruthaddict a yes. Please tell me where this "free market" exists aside from in your mind? Point to a perfect working free market for us to examine. I don't believe you'll be able to, but it won't stop you from babbling endlessly in circles

  • @Bolgernow Go to any music festival and you will see a completely free, unregulated market that sets its own prices, consumers regulate the quality of the product and the organizers make a profit by hosting the market. Game, set, match...don't think someone is stupid or talk down to them because they think differently than you. Keeping a civil and respectful tone is key in debating unless you are just trying to start an argument...in which case you can talk to someone else. Your choice

  • @imatruthaddict WHICH music festival? The closest one I'd think of is Burning Man, but again, that's co-opted by Black Rock City, LLC with sponsors, rules, booth cost, & entry admission. South by Southwest(SXSW) is an Austin, Texas based COMPANY dedicated to planning conferences, trade shows, festivals & other events with sponsors, rules, booth cost, & entry admission. WHICH ONE? AGAIN, if you wish to believe the world can be run like a music festival, then you endorse corporate rule. Jeez

  • @Bolgernow "rules" at Burning Man? What, like don't steal, don't hurt anyone else and have fun? Booth? You aren't fully understanding the "market" I'm talking about obviously.

Of course there has to be a loose structure organizing the event(government creating the environment for businesses to be able to compete in a market) and as consumers we vote for it and their existence by attending the festival..so what I would like to see is us get rid of labor taxes completely and replace with (cont)

  • @Bolgernow (cont) a national sales tax that excludes food, shelter(owner-occupied, one bedroom per person in household, attached land[to encourage gardening and self-sufficiency] and utilities), medicine and items meant for resale. If people want public infrastructure then pay for it through direct taxes...road-going fuel for roads, direct taxes on goods passing through public ports and a transition to privatization for all services done by the feds not authorized in the Constitution(roads, FAA)

  • @Bolgernow its an existential argument since there isn't much of a free market left....the point is that SOMEHOW people just keep surviving and trading with other human being WITHOUT the government there to hold their hands, crazy I know.

The only reason government exists to protect our liberties...that's it. It doesn't exist to protect us from ourselves, it doesn't exist to enforce "equality" at the barrel of a gun, and it doesn't exist to arrest people for selling raw foods.

  • @imatruthaddict you hold BM as your free market beacon. Fine, let's "try it" as a 50,000 person society for 3 years. If successful, I'd listen to you. Bet my life it's not. Has no courts, economy, doctors, cops, clean water, etc. "Raw foods"? Assume you'd like to do away with the FDA? If you'd like to go back to pelt trading, eating e coli meat, living off the land, & turn us into The Road Warrior wasteland, I happily decline. You're insane

  • @Bolgernow Here comes the "no courts, cops or clean water" argument...never heard the economy one before but that is interesting, I'm sure you are just busting at the seams to tell me how you rationally came to that conclusion.

I would love to do away with the FDA...business can set standards for their customers and products to quickly scan meat for e-coli are already in use.

Any more brain-busters up your sleeves? What a waste of sperm....

  • @imatruthaddict now personal insults. This is my final reply since you have no interest in open honest debate, just circular irrational arguments with no end. I agreed with you saying "Ok, try it. It'll fail" listing why. You didn't address that. You HAVE NO ANSWERS for Free Market(no regulations) idea(totally unproven ideas) problems aside from "It'll all just work". You also have no grasp of history in Upton Sinclar's The Jungle, a tainted meat expose. It started the FDA

  • @Bolgernow The CONSUMER makes the free market work, not government...to call what we live in a free market or capitalism is pure rubbish. You assume that businesses will just kill all their customers if the government isn't "protecting" us...so obviously you have never run a business or put your money and effort up to start a business. You would understand that creating a successful business is 100% dependent on the customer. If they don't like your product, you will fail (cont)

  • @Bolgernow (cont) that is unless, of course, they are friends with your boy Obama or his cousin Bush....but you probably have no idea of the true history of Obama's past and who his father actually is. Just as long as someone is carrying the elitist flag, you will be marching right next to them...encouraging privilege, racism, hate, killing of American Citizens, indefinite detention of American citizens, re-education of American Citizens, destruction of productivity...standard shill

  • @imatruthaddict Do you actually believe that business would self-regulate? That monopolies would "play fair?" Pure libertarianism is anethema to the people.

  • @Bolgernow I just saw a video where Lady Gaga wants the State to make bullying a hate crime.

    Yeah, that's why I'm a libertarian. -_-

  • @Madfoot713 please show me a functioning Free Market anywhere in history, in any society that has existed for 3 years or more: and I'll show you a cult

  • @Bolgernow please show me a functioning communist society

  • @Madfoot713 so you assume I'm a communist? How irrational, & very ignorant. I don't like them. I like a blend, like most everything in life. You choose based on the best decision for each policy. I like being a capitalist, yet I see the need for regulation to stop rampant white collar crime. I like social safety nets, yet don't like public housing because it gives the person no pride in their earning. AGAIN, Free Markets is a theory that has never been tried. Show me!

  • @Bolgernow about as irrational as thinking i live in somalia

  • @Madfoot713 so you can't show me a free market example that works. You can only play silly faulty labeling games. Thank you!

  • @Bolgernow U mad

  • @Bolgernow I've given you one...yet you won't accept it for whatever "reason" your mind has come up with. Classic collectivist, the ideology is never wrong with you people...just the leaders. Like somehow we are supposed to look past feudalism, monarchy, communism, socialism...basically ANY collectivist form of government that has FAILED over and over again. We had a great example of a free market from 1776 till Lincoln and the rest of the anti-competitive RINOs got in office

  • @Bolgernow Collectivist, communist, socialist, fascist....call it what you want but you believe the State has "rights" the Citizen does not. Read the Constitution...the state was created BY THE PEOPLE. THE PEOPLE being the ONLY sovereign entities in this country, you know...from the CONSENT of the governed...

But I know you can't be bothered with Truth...and the fact is, you started the personal insults the FIRST response you gave me. I gave you a chance to be civil and you failed

  • @Bolgernow Translation: I like my cake and I want to eat it too!

  • @imatruthaddict you'll be eating my fist. Try to eat cake w/o teeth...

  • @Bolgernow hahaha....you are mad! What are you gonna do tough-guy? Do you live in Colorado? You can always fly in...I'll beat you like a drum, educate you to the truth and then we can go up in the mountains and have fun on the slopes, drink a few beers and have a toke or two.

You might have to endure a beating but it will be the education of your life...I would spend the money if I were you, kinda like a late Christmas present for yourself!

  • @Bolgernow The colonies after the charter companies gave up trying to exploit the colonies for a quick buck...when they turned over the colonies to the colonists, that is a prime example of a free market WITH sound money I might add....its just too easy to own you people, its like you keep forgetting EASILY REFERENCE-ABLE HISTORY....do you think the idea of free markets is new? Put down your revisionist McGraw-Hill history books, step out of high school and join us in the real world

  • @Bolgernow What's a matter? Tired of losing debates so you move on?

  • Sam Seder: You want to shrink government because it is corrupt but you don't strike at corruption, power.

Any rational person: Uhh...wouldn't taking power AWAY be striking at the power to even BE in a corruptible position?

I would like to know where all the "likes" came from...

  • Sam Seder= ANOTHER Establishment Tool

Can't you guys even be original anymore?

  • @imatruthaddict LOL, don't you just LOVE his straw-man libertarians?

  • @Tsicar He just says whatever unsubstantiated things he likes and presupposes his distorted, revisionist history as truth...its kinda scary that people think this is preferable in a radio host/journalist? What is he anyways, besides a turd of course?

  • Ha, ha, ha....Ron Paul dodged a question...maybe about him running as a third-party candidate. Its funny that you accuse people of baseless accusations right after you make one of your own.

    Pot, meet Kettle!

  • This guy like a bastard offspring of Ed Shultz and Rachel Madcow or something?

  • @drshlotzkin hahaha, exactly. This guy couldn't run a checkbook much less a business and actually EMPLOY some people with his rhetoric and beliefs!

  • I love how the answer can never be "We will do NOTHING"...

Doing NOTHING is exactly what needs to be done from time to time... This stupid fucking ignorant fuck would never be able to comprehend this simple concept... It's a shame and he has a mic to boot! Scary stuff.

  • Sam I'm sorry but this is sick. The basic philosophy of libertarianism is utopian society, but calling them all "children" is like calling everyone on the left a socialist. You need a balance between the left's ideas of regulation and the libertarian ideas of individual liberty and smaller, efficient gov't.

the problem is that right now we have neither, because democrats cut regulations instead of creating more and republicans steal freedoms instead of protecting them. Neither the left not th

  • Sam, the Heritage Foundation ranks each country in the world based on their economic freedoms (there are ten factors ranging from trade freedom to government spending). It is no surprise that the more prosperous countries are towards the top end of that list (with Hong Kong 1st and the U.S. 9th). Is this enough empirical evidence of the benefits of libertarian policies?

  • Wow, this guy really has a issue with libertarians - so much hate and misplaced anger towards those who champion freedom. Whether of not you believe a truly libertarian society is possible or not, surely people's principles are valid as a form of argument to move towards a 'freer' society then we already have and to curb the excessive power of the state? Using the principle of liberty to argue for this change is valid, just as socialists use equality as a principle for advocating policy.

  • What a Tool.

  • I am a Libertarian and I will play your game. :)

Yes, most definitely! If a store owner wants to discriminate against the color of my skin, my sexuality, etc. That person has every right to because his store is not my property, meaning I have no claim to it.

No one has the right to education. Forcing other people to pay for someone's university does not make this right exist. Other than that it is just common sense to not to go to university if you have no conception on how to pay for it.

  • @proxyamenra "That person has every right to because his store is not my property, meaning I have no claim to it." Yes but that person doesn't own you either, so what gives him or her the right to act negatively towards you? they have no claim to the property that is your body, so theres a very big contradiction there, unless your saying more economic power decides who gets the ability to act negatively to another, which isn't liberty that is Feudalism.

  • @CommissarRed

Why would I deal with people who discriminate against me? It is not like I am some sort of masochist. Simply acting negatively towards doesn't violate my rights. Assaulted me physically for no good reason, that argument could be made. Economic power? Businesses serving the community don't tend to discriminate because they would be loosing potential customers. I am more worried about people with political power. Irrational people with police and armies at their finger tips. Yikes!

  • @proxyamenra "Simply acting negatively towards doesn't violate my rights." Actually in your ideology it does. It violates your right of property over yourself, the shop owner doesn't own you, therefore he has no right to make a judgement or act negatively against you because of who you are, the same way you have no right (under your beliefs) to make judgements or act negatively against him and his property for his discriminatory practices, see the contradiction?

  • @proxyamenra "Businesses serving the community don't tend to discriminate because they would be loosing potential customers" Right except businesses are run by people not calculators, and as people they will have there own beliefs and prejudices and can and will act on them. There are many cases throughout the world of businesses discriminating against people they deem deviant. "with police and armies at their finger tips." Right because private armies and police don't exist, oh wait they do.

  • @proxyamenra Your ideas don't work, if property is sacrosanct then how do you resolve conflicts over differing property rights? Labour is a commodity and personal property, the instrument of Labour is the human body, therefore any discrimination in regards to a persons body for whatever reason (sex, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation etc)is a violation of an individuals property rights. But there is no mechanism under your system to prevent abuse by those with more property and power.

  • @CommissarRed

I'm sorry, I find youtube a difficult medium to have a conversation. Send me an email with your arguments collated: proxyamenra@gmail.com.

  • If I understand your logic correctly, you believe that govt intervention in economics and in our social lives is necessary so to prevent or solve any problems that may arise.Correct?Judging by the current situation I really don’t think its working too well. I can only assume that your solution would be to increase govt involvement and if that still doesn’t work more would be necessary.Correct? So then what exactly needs to happen for you to realize that govt is the problem not the solution?

  • 3:06, because everyone deserves to get everything for free right? That which is given out too freely loses value.

And it is simply a fallacy to assume that student loans help people get into college. All student loans do is inflate the cost of going to college. The very existence of student loans create the conditions for them to be seem required.

  • 2:50, right because you see denying black people and gay people from your restaurant is profitable for your business. Yep. Nobody is going to be avoiding and picketing my racist place.

  • 1:55, oh okay. You have a problem with private armies yet you don't have a problem with a monopolistic institution called the state having an army? What hypocrisy.Gun control is nothing more than statist hypocrisy.

2:16, oh right. Because having one army dictate public policy is better than an emergent polycentric order dictating public policy.

2:32, okay RP is a pussy, So what? You can find pussy libertarians all day. It does nothing against the libertarians of substance.

  • I tried calling in tonight, I think it would be a fun conversation, but I was on hold for half an hour without talking to anyone... :(
