I laughed the 1st time watching naruto cause I was like , "I see they talk alot about ninjas but I don't see any, where are these ninjas".

Nninjas are suppose to where dark , hide in the shadows and fight only neccesary, but we don't see that in naruto. I guess toriyama wanted to create a new version of ninjas.

Now don't get me wrong I like naruto , I read it and watch it but yeah it is overrated and in my opinion there are way better animes out there.

Narutos orange jumpsuit is the opposite of what a real ninja would wear. It's like he's out hunting deer or something. Orange is so people won't shoot you by accident when you are out hunting. Furthermore: OF COURSE the ninja (ninja, not ninjas; the word is Japanese) don't look like "classic" ninja. If they were exactly the same as every other ninja, it wouldn't be interesting. Naruto ninja are basically superhero-type characters who carry out the DUTIES of a ninja, i.e. going on missions and defending their country. By the way, Lee was supposed to look absurd. That's part of the point of his character--you can be great no matter what.

first off,the plot of Naruto is much more complex than what you mentioned.the whole random mission thing happens only in the filler arcs.secondly,what happened to the word''ORIGINALITY?''people complain that originality is dead but they can't accept the fact that naruto's ninjas are original.and besides,there are TONS and TONS of fictional ninjas out there that don't fit the ninja stereotype.and finally,DBZ is actually thr most overrated anime of all time.

Dragonball Z is a highly inspirational anime for which I REALLY respect it.and about the ninja thing.why do you care if they are not stealthy as real ninjas?the creator wanted them to be like they are,so you can't do anything about it.and like I said,there are many more fictional ninjas who don't look or act like real ninjas.and finally,One Piece's pirates aren't real pirates either.what do you have to say about that?

@NnoitraEspada One piece Pirates aren't designed like spanish pirates but most of their actions are of pirate code. Naruto is not. The only ninja thing they really do is go one "missions" and throw knives.

BTW: Fillers are put in when the anime starts catching up with the manga. One episode usually has the same content as several chapters, but the anime can't be ahead of the manga, so fillers are put in until the manga's plot is far enough ahead. Just read the manga if you don't like them.

*Sigh* Idiot. Naruto may not be the "best" anime overall, but it is fun, creative, and appeals to a wide range of people. It's the best to watch if you're new to anime, because it has some of every gender. It has unique, interesting characters and a universe that is intriguing and rich. There is NO WAY to define the "best" anime--but Naruto does a fantastic job of appealing to a certain group of people and is therefore the "best" in its genre.

Naruto is not over rated, you get this part long like so many other rants but one thing it desperately is? Over popular. Do not ask anyone (Even the creators) how it got so overly popular to the position of the number #1 most viewed anime in the world but for some reason it is but is it better than other anime? I'm not judging what people like. If Naruto is his favorite anime, then good for him. I just don't think it's the best anime of all time EVER. That's my opinion. Yes. And the characters in One Piece are guilty of that as well. But at least Scorpion acts like a ninja, and the characters in One Piece act like pirates, even though they aren't dressed like them. Naruto both doesn't look like a ninja, and doesn't act like a ninja. And even though Scorpion has a bit of yellow in his suit, he does have a mask and the rest of his suit that's not yellow is black.

His 'spear' move, is based on real Ninja weapons, rather than the made up jutsu in Naruto.

Well I personally think that the author of Naruto on purpose had him wear orange and has a non-ninja like atitude because he wanted to create a character that no one would expect to be a ninja... to being a really good ninja. Though I do agree with you, Naruto is far from being the "best anime" and is highly overrated (this is coming from a fan of the series). But its just there own opinion, nothing we can do about it.

I think Naruto is a good manga but not the greatest. I only read the books because Naruto came first in the manga. I don't really watch the anime because of some fillers that are not part of the main story. One reason why the fillers are there is to give time for the author to work ahead. I think it is overrated as well. I think Naruto is good, not the greatest anime, but good. I respect your opinion, Snakebite.
