crazy world,right?There are thousands that would like to have the privilege to defend this country,so they could show how much patriotism they hold inside,or just to be the first ones to have comfirmed kills on their military files.I felt the same when it was my turn to deploy and do what we do best. It disgusts me that the Bush Administration are still trying to send American men and women to the frontlines of an illegal war. It disgusts me as much that Stephen Harper and the hypocritical Canadian Government won't even send troops to Iraq but is happy handing over Iraq War Resisters back to the U.S..

I find it disgusting that the U.S. military brass consistently 'lost' Jeremy's Conscientious Objector status papers.

Those who are unable(mentally)to fight in the military should not be forced to do so. Imagine that you were in the front lines and someone in your troop was against fighting or being half assed because they didn't want to be in the situation. Their lack of enthusiasm/care could kill everyone in a mission. I for one think that him leaving potentially increased the statistics of people in war situations to live. I would not someone that does not believe in a cause to fight next to me.

No, 'coward' is the definition of someone who sends his soldiers off to war while he stays at home and destroys American civil liberties and shits on the Constitution.

Alternate definition is someone who calls out someone else over the internet as a 'coward', hiding behind the anonymity of the internet.

My friend Jeremy already served in Afghanistan (where the real terrorists are) fighting to defend America. I don't blame him for not wanting to die for oil and Halliburton/KBR/Bush/CheneyCo.

I met Jeremy through my sister who in turn met him and his family through the local Quakers. I can't say I know him well, but we've hung out a few times and he's totally cool in my books. He's a great dad and husband, and he's a good guy. No soldier should be forced to fight in an illegal war of aggression, against their conscience. I voted against Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Conservative party because they won't let Jeremy and his family stay in Canada.

Funny thing is that there is no Oil in Afghanistan. Also you should be happy that you have the oil in Iraq because that way you don't need to spend your bail out money on it.
