Not extremely famous. He is well known. He is not a typical actor. More of an "every-man" than anything. By that I mean he acts like most men would act in a given situation. He brings a lot of his own personality to his parts. Just look at the similarities between Angel and Bones.

Lol, yknow how my friend said he got into acting, I'm not sure if it was for Bones or not, but he was just walking his dog one day, and the people saw him and thought he was good looking I guess (no duh lol) and then now he's an actor! :O He's 40?! It was actually for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Apparantly a producer of the show spotted David walking his dog and approached him and asked if he was an actor....or something like that. Anyway he went to audition for the role of Angel and got it. Orignally, Angel was suppose to come on for one episode, but I guess they liked him.

@Insaneymaney it is true, his first acting experience was in buffy the vampire slayer and after he went on to do a spin off of his own show which lasted 5 seasons which is called angel :)
