I have to admit the sound on the the C64 was better than what the NES had, therefore alot of games on the C64 had better music. But as far as this game being BETTER than SMB?!? Gimmie a break that is pure BS! Not only is this game COPYING most of the platforming and gameplay elements, but it does so in a slow, poorly programmed way. It came out after SMB and I would think they could improve the formula to perform FASTER or with some better controls. great game for C64, but not better than SMB

No. Almost all platform game have blue sky as background. Bowser in the only boss in smb and shoots with fire. Nether the cockroach or dragen shoot with anything. Tggs has no lava.

Well the actual story behind this game is We all know the Mario got Invented first and this game is close to SMB in many ways that Nintendo felt the company infringed the CopyRight of the Mario name and games.

Damn this is just so much better than Super Mario Bros.. including the music. I feel sorry for the Nintendo fans, they only had that console, so they had to worship the few kiddie games Nintendo put out. This, however, is a real classic.

Yeah, except of course this game still has a HUGE fanbase who has this as their first and best gaming memory, and who easily see how much better than SMB this is. Most Sonic the Hedgehog installments are also far better than SMB. Being the original does not equal quality. Look at Wolfenstein, for instance. But I guess you haven't heard of Wolfenstein, since your lips are firmly stuck to Miyamotos ass. In any case - you lose.

I've played the game, and it's slow as hell, and the physics are crap. You try hitting a brick or block, and half the time there's no response. On top of that the levels are shorter than the levels in Super Mario Bros. As for Sonic, the games are good, but there's a bit too much focus on running with the occasional enemy thrown in just to trip you up and piss you off. Anyway, I'll let you get back to being all whiny and bitter about Nintendo suing the makers of your favorite game.

This is hardly my favorite game, not even in my top 10, but it is better than the original. And I have nothing to be bitter about, this game gets the attention and credit it deserves from those who have played it. However SMB, in my opinion, gets far too much credit. =P

I remember this game on the Amiga when I was younger. It gave me arachnophobia, because of the spiders that appear later in the game. They move so fast.
