The robot only had a few games like gyromite. He took commands based on flashes from your CRT t.v. It had to be a CRT. You could give him commands by using your controller which would cause the display to flash and rob would react accordingly. In gyromite he basically just dropped blocks onto a surface.  The power glove (please keep your minds out of the gutter) came out a little later but that didn't sell much either. The power glove was the first step towards the more modern Wii controller
