  • Hi, whilst going through the encoding/burning process can I shut my computer down and start it again when i'm next on the computer? Or will it completely disrupt the process and i'll have to start again? Cheers Tom!

  • @mrtommyhendrix1 Never tried it, but I honestly don't think that will work.

  • im not getting one file, im getting alot of .txt'z and a .iso file but im stuck on finilaze HELP ME :) :/ please!

  • dose the file have to be avi? what about xvid? , would that mean i would have to convert it to avi? so confused been at this for like 5 hours now, help would be much appreciated XD

  • @88KRUZE No, it doesn't have to be AVI (thats just the file I had as an example). If it were me, I would just try whatever format you have.

  • @PCAddictsLive thanks! got it to work your vid was very helpful and explanatory in lay man terms

  • @88KRUZE Your welcome! Glad it was able to help you out!

  • Hi great video... Can you tell me what kind of writable DVDs you used? were they -R or + R... I understand that -R's are more common and more suitable for most homes DVD players...thanks for your input

  • @NJGUY46 Thanks! I do like to use -R's - and the last batch I purchased was by Verbatim.

  • mine was taking 2 hours and it was 5% on audio, why so long?

  • do i need imgburner

  • @Nivek5795 No, you can use something else to burn the image, but make sure you are burning it as an image, not just a file.

  • @PCAddictsLive k thanks

  • When I finish converting it using dvd flix instead of giving me an iso file it gives me a bunch of word documents and xml files

  • @icydragon542 Look within those docs for an ISO - as long as you selected the option during the project setup to create an ISO, it should be there. Look at the file sizes within the folder of all the files, you are probably looking for a large file size.

  • test

  • @icydragon542 Test worked!

  • Brasero works for all formats.. Linux Rules !!!!

  • @johnnylifeson I do admit, Brasero used to work well for me years ago. Last time I tried, I ran into some troubles - nothing major though.

  • Thank you so much dude!

  • @nathvids Your welcome bro!

  • guys i seriously need sum advice. iv been trying to encode sum movies for a wyl now and the encoding video tkes about 3 hours, but thn wen it starts encoding the audio it tookk about 16hourse and it was styll only 92 percent dun, not evn jkng . literally 16 hours. any1 no y its tkng so long

  • @dawood123ist Probably depends on how long the video is, file size, and power of your computer. This stuff does take a long time - even on my systems here.

  • My dvd flick project took 5 hours to it done...pcadditctlive..how to make it in short time?

  • Great Video!

  • @MrKoolTutorials Thanks again!

  • @PCAddictsLive No Problem, Chris.

  • @PCAddictsLive You Take The Time To Create These Tutorial's So I'll Make the Time To Watch Them.

  • @MrKoolTutorials I like your way of thinking man!

  • @PCAddictsLive Question My Server 2008 R2 Dns Doesnt seem to be working it just gives my pc DNS error. any ideas?

  • @MrKoolTutorials I could assist with that, but maybe we should move this topic to one of the Server Basics Video Series vids bro! :)

  • @PCAddictsLive Never mind it was just the service wasnt starting correctly. :l Fixed Now tho!

  • @MrKoolTutorials ROFL ok man!

  • Great video as always, I like to use DeVeDe in Ubuntu, but also use DVD Flick. I just stumbled upon the option to burn avi files to dvd in the DivX Plus Player. I'm testing it out right now as I'm writing this, I'll let you know how it works, so far it seems to be faster than other options.

  • Scratch that, it doesn't convert it to work in all DVD players. Just ones that are DivX compatible I guess because it just copied the avi file to DVD. Anyways, great video.

  • @2011GeekTech Ahh bummers! Thanks for the info bro.. I would think most players are DivX compatible (I don't know, assuming so).
